Smetti di sprecare soldi in Giappone nel 2025 | 12 trappole per turisti che ancora non conosci

I’ve been living in Japan for over 30 years and have guided more than 200 international visitors.
Over the years, I’ve noticed so many tourists spending money on things that Japanese locals rarely do, or doing things that just aren’t comfortable.
In a previous video, I shared 20 of these habits, and it was very popular, with over 200,000 views! Now, I’ve updated the list based on conversations with guides and travelers, and I’ve narrowed it down to 12 new tips.
In this video, I’ll show you how tourists and locals act differently, so you can enjoy Japan comfortably and affordably—just like a local.

  1. I agree with the trains. If you are going from Tokyo to say Osaka or Kyoto, then yes, use the Bullet Train. But if you are taking the train from Kyoto to Nara, take a local regular train, as it makes stops near some really cool temples. If you take the bullet train, it will not stop till you get to the end of the line, and you miss a lot of things.

  2. Are docomo rental bikes maintained though? If I'm renting from a store, I saw one at 2000 yen for the whole day, I can ask the store if they maintained it and have it checked again. Also 2000 yen a day ain't bad.

  3. Thanks for always posting insightful videos, it was great touring with you!!! Highly recommend Toshi as a tour guide!!! Can’t wait to go back to Japan next year 👍

  4. Toshi I got an official suica card on my iPhone with id# not a temp card is it possible to get refund through the machines? If so can you do a small video how?

  5. For us, a successful trip to Japan relies on a few must-have essentials:
Just two almost-empty backpack. A full JR Pass is essential for all long-distance travel. Book 2.5 to 3-star hotels like Route Inn and Super Hotel (with an onsen of course), and shop at Seria, Aeon food malls, and Uniqlo for discounted items. And our low cost 55+ T-mobile data plan ($30USD) includes international roaming. For a special treat, we spend a night at an all-inclusive onsen hotel (like the Ooedo Onsen Monogatari!
