Japan’s newly inaugurated Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi has announced plans to fast-track defence spending to 2 % of GDP by March 2026—two years ahead of previous schedule—and adopt a “proactive” fiscal policy aimed at boosting growth and reducing the debt-to-GDP ratio.

Should we be worried that like Germany’s current tracking back into Fascism will Japan do the same?
More defence spending but where to find the money? Next to that her militairy ambitions can easily isolate Japan in Asia. WWII is not forgotten.
