See the Reagan ad that angered Trump into ending trade talks with Canada

President Donald Trump said on Thursday he was terminating trade talks with Canada, threatening once again to upend the crucial economic relationship between the United States and its second-biggest trading partner. Trump said he canceled the talks in response to an advertisement released last week by the government of Canada’s Ontario province, which featured audio from a speech by former US President Ronald Reagan criticizing tariffs on foreign goods.     Reagan was right. We know that Trump does not care about the US economy. We know that Trump doesn't care about US citizens. Peter Navarro and Robert Lighthizer are a couple of lap dog breast nipples.

    Ford is an absolute cancer to all negotiations, lives for political stunts and the Ad was in fact edited and misleading from the original speech. The U.S. administration openly said negotiations are frustrating is because TOO MANY of Trudeau's ministers and their toxic ideologies are still in the room. We will never get a good deal with this Trump fearmongering government and their anti energy policies.

    How did that misrepresent Reagan's position? In fact, in the full speech, Reagan mentions Canada as a fair trade partner. The full context of this that Reagan is talking about imposing tariffs on Japanese semiconductors. In this speech Reagan said that tariffs hurt, but in the case of Japanese semiconductors, the Japaneese weren't trading freely so tariffs were necessary to get them to the table to talk. He mentioned Canada as a fair partner. This is what makes what Trump is doing wrong. He is imposing tariffs on every country regardless of what their fair trade status is. I agree with imposing tariffs on countries like China that haven't been counducting a fair trade policy, but doing this to countries like Canada is only hurting us.

    Trust me when I say that I am no fan of Ronald Reagan, but I believe he was 100% correct on this issue. Tariffs should only be used as a selective tactic to get countries that don't practice fair trade policies to the table. They should not be used recklessly like a bulldozer in an us against the world policy that, in the end, will only hurt us.

    Reagan was primarily a second grade actor who assumed the role of president and took orders from Washington bureaucrats. Trump is primarily a smart businessman who cares about America and is fighting the communist takeover of America by socialist and marxist bureaucrats.

    Mr. Singleton's reaction includes a false premise. The ad doesn't target American domestic politics at all. It targets American foreign policy, particularly as it affects Canada. That's perfectly legitimate.

    Donald Trump, aka TACO, is a gangster and swindler (labeled as such by his great friend Jeffrey Epstein), a rapist, and the worst thing that could have happened to the USA. It's his way of negotiating and intimidating to bring everyone to their knees. A narcissist and ignorant man with power. This criminal has 27 convictions and got himself elected president to avoid jail.
    He has damaged the economy and the global economy; he has ruined the countryside, agriculture, and tourism in his own country; he has taken away workers' benefits; he attacks the justice system in his own country; he attacks education; he is cynical and a liar to the core. What a disaster to have to put up with such a corrupt, annoying, deceitful, and lying person. I feel sorry for the once trustworthy and respectable United States.
