Considering the amount of money China is putting in to build Africa and South America economies, I know there is potential for them to replace Europe and parts of America. China wants business, I can't see them completely shutting out Us and Europe.

Japan also invaded China following Europe, and again in the 1930s, murdering 40 million Chinese during the invasion, or 1/10 of China's total population at the time. Japan destroyed half of China, looted trillions in gold from China and committed the most horrendous crimes against China that put the Nazis to shame. Just search the Rape of Nanking, Unit 731 crimes (dissecting prisoners alive, cutting pregnant Chinese women open to take out their babies, freezing Chinese to death to see how humans react in the cold, etc.).
Unlike Germany that fully recognized its Nazi past, today Japan continued to deny its war crimes. Can you imagine German politicians going to church to worship Hitler? But this is precisely what Japanese politicians have been doing, going to shrines to worship Japanese war criminals.

During the late 1800s to early 1900s, Japan used the excuse of national security to encroach on China including invading and taking over Taiwan, Manchuria. etc. This includes the brutal killings and raping of the populace for about 100 years. You should also remember that the US was a full participant in the raping, pillaging and colonization of China, including the opium wars (see Phd paper from University of Oregon where it specifies Boston based families involved in the Opium debacle in China), and unit 731 (Japanese military) where Chinese people were experimented on (makes the much published Jewish Holocaust looks like a cake walk) and this unit was transferred to Fort Detrich after WWII . China is just hoping that Japan will make a military move against it, and scores will be settled (you can't imagine how high the emotions are)
