  1. This video includes incorrect information.

Prime Minister Takaichi has never made any statement such as “If China uses force against Taiwan, it could constitute a survival-threatening situation for Japan.”

The definition of a “survival-threatening situation” is as follows:

even if Japan itself is not directly under armed attack, if a country with which Japan has a close relationship is attacked, and if Japan’s survival is threatened and there is a clear danger to the lives of the Japanese people, the conditions may be met.

The term “country with which Japan has a close relationship” refers, for example, to the United States, and does not include Taiwan. This is because Japan has clearly stated in the past that it does not recognize Taiwan as a country, while “understanding and respecting” China’s position that “Taiwan is an inalienable part of China.”

Accordingly, China’s use of force against Taiwan alone does not constitute a survival-threatening situation for Japan.

The survival-threatening situation that Japan is anticipating is, for example, a scenario in which China conducts armed operations against Taiwan, including the use of warships to impose a “maritime blockade,” and U.S. forces move to break that blockade, whereupon China carries out some form of armed attack against those U.S. forces, and, in addition, Japan’s survival is threatened and there is a clear danger to the lives of the Japanese people.

The Chinese government is criticizing the Japanese Prime Minister’s remarks without understanding the accurate information described above.

In addition, a Chinese consular official in Osaka made a highly inappropriate comment suggesting that Prime Minister Takaichi’s “dirty head should be cut off.”

The Japanese government is requesting an official apology and retraction from the Chinese government, and is also considering taking strict measures, including declaring the individual persona non grata.

  2. Singapore Chinese has an English minset, mainstream CNA type, which is diffrent from that of Chinese Chinese (google this, you will know what it means, define by a Singapore leader), minorstream Zaobao type. I dont how is the malay chanel like. If you have a chinese chinese mindset, switch away from CNA if you dont want bothered.

  3. When China was strong, North east Asia and South east Asia were in peace and Stability. When China was weak, Japan tried to invade Korea and China and others for several times. We can not understand why Japanese refused to let others alone. It is lucky that China returns to its position of strength this time.

  4. Hope Japan will make some self-discovery about their past and achieve a genuine and lasting reconciliation. True strength for a nation lies not in avoiding its history, but in confronting it with honesty. The recent actions by the Prime Minister, which have rightly upset China and other neighbors, only highlight how this necessary introspection remains incomplete. For the sake of regional stability and a peaceful future, it is crucial for Japan to demonstrates genuine empathy and remorse for its actions during World War II, the world will come to respect its efforts toward honest self-reflection — paving the way for genuine and lasting reconciliation with those it once harmed.

  5. Not only not to go to Japan, China should also cancel the agreement agreed earlier for the import of fishery produce from Japan.
Stand strong, China and never to gave in them or any of their cronies.

  6. What she has done has made the Chinese to remind Japan about Ryukyu Island, an island annexed by colonial Japan and renamed as Okinawa. Ryukyu indigenous people had claimed Japan deliberately builded a lot of military assets on Ryukyu island because the Japanese do not see the Ryukyuan people as Japanese and so wanted the war to be fought in Ryukyu island. It is said 2 thirds of the Ryukyuan people died in the war.

  7. Sorry. Ivy chen dont know world happenning economics and world issues. Just know entertainment stars HK news. sorry. But i do cares about what did the world happened.

  8. Whenever CNA seeks opinions, CNA only run to western '' experts '' believing words that come out of their mouths are all gems!!! I don't think so. What I know is that the western so call experts often fart and talk at the same time. Can't CNA seek opinions from like minded experts like Kishore Mabumani, George Yeo, etc…

  9. Japan has been very double standard on its principle. It never recognise Russia fear over NATO expansion into Ukraine and even supported NATO. At the same time Japan kept barking at it's own fear over China's internal affairs and intentionally violated it's treaty as a defeated nation that it reflects Taiwan is a china province . It makes no sense why certain politician in Japan loves to create more tension that may lead to war in the region . Singapore must be careful not to endorse Japan current administration.

  10. CNA interviewing a very unintelligent anti-china Caucasian makes me nauseous and not asking him the right questions is rubbing into the viewers. i nearly throw out listening and watching him smirk over his jibberish nonsensical take on geopolitics about PRC , thru his eyes, as the world main enemy. A waste of my time watching this "news". I am out of here.

  11. Eighty years on, militarism must never be revived in Japan, the post-WWII international order must never be challenged, and world peace and stability must never be ruined again.

  12. We're tired of this bullshit.
China the gargantuan, great, powerful Nation harassing, Harassing, HARASSING small Island Nation Taiwan.

China should get off telling other Countries how they choose to have National connection to Taiwan.
And telling Taiwan who and what they're supposed to be.

    Mind your own business.

    Tend to your own problems.
And quit making yourself Taiwans problem.

  13. A rude and insensitive remarks made, by Japanese politician on record in parliament, should be retracted from its record in parliament. Are the CNA team members ignorant or are they just caving in to Ang Mo's "expert" in order to play the good cop, bad cop routine? *rolling my eyes to heaven".

  14. Not only china retaliate against Japan. During ww2 many residents of South East Asia & China neighbourly countries also suffered at the hands of Japanese aggression. Japan will also face backlash against Japan from citizens & residents of these countries
