China gets mad everytime someone states the obvious, which is if China invades Taiwan, it picks a fight with its allies. China might be large and have a lot of people, but so does Taiwan’s sphere of support around it. There is more than a half billion around it, 2.5B if you count India.

I'm thankful that the Japanese have the intestinal fortitude to stand up for their allies that we in the US lack.

The Japanese Prime Minister actually said, “If Taiwan is attacked, Japan will step in.” The implication is clear: Japan is now acting like Taiwan is its own land to protect.
Let’s not forget: Japan was a defeated nation in World War II. The Cairo Declaration (1943) and the Potsdam Proclamation (1945) clearly stated that Taiwan must be returned to China. These are binding international legal documents. After Japan’s surrender, Taiwan was indeed handed back to China—an undeniable fact.This year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory against fascism. Yet Japan still refuses to acknowledge its role as a war criminal and even enshrines Class-A war criminals at Yasukuni Shrine. This is not only a provocation to China, but an insult to all Asian countries that suffered under Japanese aggression.
During World War II—when Japan invaded China—China suffered about 35 million casualties, with around 20 million deaths. This was one of the worst human tragedies in history. Japan has never truly apologized to China, nor has it borne the consequences it should have. Today’s China is no longer the China of 80 years ago. China now has strong national power and advanced military capabilities. If Japanese fascist forces dare to challenge China’s bottom line, they must be ready to pay the price. If they believe “power speaks,” then let them see China’s power today.

Glad to know that Japan has the guts to stand with Taiwan and against China, the most dangerous threat to all its neighbors including of Taiwan. It’s time for Americans to do the same.

Let me tell you- Japan would benefit from a drastic drop in Chinese tourism. Further, they should actively repatriate the many thousands who have overstayed their entry permits.
