Japanese scholar: Takaichi’s erroneous remarks deal a blow to Kansai economy

#japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi’s erroneous remarks regarding China’s Taiwan region have drawn widespread criticism within Japan. Horiguchi Tadashi, a professor at Osaka Metropolitan University, said the comments have hurt Japan’s tourism and broader economy, particularly in the Kansai region, which has close economic ties with China. He noted that strained political relations could weaken Chinese students’ willingness to study in Japan, which accounts for a large proportion of international students. This could potentially affect higher education development and exchanges between the two countries.

  1. Takaichi did not make an erroneous mistake or remark. She made a deliberate 'mistake', under the order of her master, the US. Period!!!

  2. How is T going to compensate the damages to her own contrymen there?
Actually even if she did not intend that, China now experiences a boom in tourism, both from those who canceled trips to Japan and from international tourists who enjoy the visa free period, and the peace and ease to explore the culture and authentical good food on the mainland. 🇨🇳❤🎉🍜
