India has achieved a historic milestone, overtaking Japan to become the world’s fourth-largest economy with a GDP of USD 4.18 trillion. Strong domestic demand, sustained policy reforms, and consistent growth have positioned India to surpass Germany by 2030. Real GDP growth hit 8.2% in Q2 2025–26, marking a six-quarter high. Global agencies like IMF, World Bank, Moody’s, and OECD project continued robust growth for India in 2026–27, highlighting reform-driven momentum, low inflation, declining unemployment, and stronger exports.
