  1. The twin goal of creation of jobs for all sections of people and alleviating poverty should be our priority. Now, there is a huge divide between the haves and havenots. We must spend more on education, research and healthcare. Of course, India has progressed over the years. Per capita income does matter.

  3. She needs a reality check

    Population: 140 crores
    Taxes Paid; By 4 crore
    Free ration: 80 crores (voters)

4 crore people getting go to work to feed 136 crore who are just voting for free ration

    What drugs is she on??

  4. Ya no body talks about poverty in India the plight of farmers etc so many problems frequent power cuts, lack of good quality drinking water, sewage, garbage etc etc I am sick when elites and politicians talk about India growing fast ridiculous

  5. What is that accent? It is not British, it is not American, not Aussie or Kiwi. Not Irish, not Scottish. Not South African. It is a little like how the non-English speaking Europeans sound like when they speak English, only their English is not so good. My guess is she must’ve grown up in a non native English speaking European country and then moved to an English speaking country.

  6. She is just telling that cmg to 3rd or 4rth largest economy is of no use with our poor per capita income levels.
We r worse than Bangladesh in the per capita income figures
Crores of Indians almost 130 cr r well below poverty line

  7. Of course, India population will go to 1.6 billion in no time, the GDP would grow with that. How about basic living standards for the people?

  8. For God's sake, somebody has to tell her the real picture. Too polished individual. She doesn't have a clue about the level of expertise the interviewers are at.

  9. Madam Gita is True…Per Capita is another key Goal to reach in parallel within the next two or three years, otherwise it has no meaning. If a family is rich and family members are poor, it won't serve our purpose. India's STRENGTH is that INDIA WOULD NEVER STIMULATES CONFLICTS or WARs on its own with other Countries leading to a GREATER INTERNAL STABILITY.
