The loss in tourism alone will place America in a recession and that in the short term will affect most nations as we enter a state of depression. The stability of the bonds markets or financial system has led to a deterioration in our civilisation. Since 1970 most people have got progressively poorer relative to asset holders. Also the proportion of most people to asset holders has increased. Most people can't borrow money from Japan at low interest and then use that to buy property in Australia and London. That is why most people can't afford a house in Australia and London. As the global order or rules based system collapsed, then most people will be able to buy houses again and have a reasonable standard of living. So I am not sad that the rules based system is collapsing. Already in my ara house prices are falling for the first time in 30 years while wages are increasing by more than they have in a long time.
