Visitors to special snow domes, or kamakura, in central Japan are soaking up the winter atmosphere. The long-running Kamakura Festival in Gifu Prefecture is held every winter. Guests can enjoy the sight of ice lanterns lighting up the white snow, and even taste local sake inside the kamakura.
