Gold and BTC recently tanked. I don't see the "dollar as only as strong as the weakest link" scenario. There will always be push back in the Fed to strengthen the dollar despite any net benefit in trade.

QE aka devaluation, will mean that the market will set the interest rate not central bank. When not if, this happens it will be ugly.
