Wall Street Week | Investment Opportunities, Corporate Transformation and the Private Capital Boom
This week, we travel to Japan to bring you stories of how its economy could be turning the page after 30 years of stagnation. After the so-called ‘lost decades,’ Apollo Global Management’s Marc Rowan explains why there’s a ‘new swagger’ in Japan now. Plus, can private capital help power Japan’s next growth cycle? Later, after decades of caution and stability, Japan’s business culture now faces a defining test as reform collides with tradition.

Thanks for this well prepared in deep insight updates from the world leader business news.
Thanks for sharing. Global operating system is indeed rebalancing with Japan as a probable leader along the East Asia corridor that breaks away from US focused system.
Degeaba băgați atât de multă reclamă, că tot nu o să cumpăr. Săracilor!
What a nice commercial for private equity trash
Amazing and enjoyable show
interesting analysis. Corporate mind reform is not enough. Risk taking mentality and catching up with the tech innovation are the must. For that corporate heads interviewed are all much older than the US.
sony games and music & movie & animation IP is very nice. Happy~
But Japanese population is fast greying and decreasing. Already one third of its population is 65 or older and fewer and fewer children are being born. As a Japanese person, I'd rather invest in countries like Vietnam or India where you can expect high economic growth.
Takaichi may have the support of the public but that means very little for Japan’s future. Each of the previous prime ministers also had support but they accomplished nothing. Takaichi wants to stimulate the economy with more handouts to families and businesses while also cutting the consumption tax. This will further weaken the JPY, which is already at a decades low, and drive up inflation and prices. As a longtime resident of Japan, I wish her all the best but I see little that differentiates her policies from her predecessors.
Japan and the US need public interest capitalism, not extractive capitalism.
I desire to visit the intentionally confusing Meisi Castle of Japan!
Is the castle name spelled "Meishi?"
Thank you for providing the blueprint for where Private Capital is moving over the next 5 and the last 5 years. No change happens withouth a good old report to convince investors of a new opportunity. These are nothing more than pitch decks masked as journalism. JP Morgan advised in the 2000s the creation of BRICS for the emerging powers……
the entire episode is on japan???? why?
Great documentary. Thank you! But if Japan is going to prosper because Apollo is entering the market, it is doomed to fail. Just look at the UK example.
Marc Rowan lied to investors about Jeffrey Epstein! Is this about losing Calpers because California pension funds will drop APO fast if the SEC does the right thing? Gonna try to replace California pension funds with Japanese capital and use Stephen Schwartzman as a footprint? Why was Steve spared from the Epstein scandal while Rowan wasn't what's that agenda about?
America is 20 years behind Japan..salute to the Japanese..
Time to rise again Japan 😉 You've been on defensive for long…
The video is too long and boring. Maybe I'm wrong but it needs to restructure it.
