When your delayed flight means an extra day in Tokyo there is nothing to complain about! Let’s spend 7 hours in Tokyo on my 16th (and last!) day of my trip to Japan.
After an early morning and several hours at the airport figuring out my re-booking, I had to turn this day around and treat myself! I dropped my luggage in a locker, used my leftover Suica credit and got on the metro back into the city. I decided to hit up the last few spots on my shopping list.
My first stop was Cosme Beauty where I filled my cart with all the hits from their best-sellers tower. I’m so excited to try all my new beauty and makeup goodies!
Next I headed to the famous Laforet mall. I wanted to come to the Sailor Moon store located here. I am a huge Sailor Moon fan and was so impressed by all the exclusive items they had here. If I wasn’t already maxed out with my suitcase I would have done some serious shopping. The other stores in the mall were all so cool! There were a lot of goth and cute style clothes for sale here – I especially loved all the accessory stores.
After shopping I put my name in for a solo booth at Ichiran. Since I was alone this was the perfect meal for me – plus the novelty of Ichiran itself is a fun time. I go all the time in NYC!!
I had about an hour left so I wandered through Yoyogi Park to see the Meiji Shrine. It was a holiday so it was very busy and cool to see.
It was time to head to Haneda Airport. After my 7 hour delay I treated myself to a flight upgrade and enjoyed a Premium Economy seat on my flight back with Japan Airlines. I usually fly coach so this was a treat for me! I enjoyed my freebies and the food wasn’t bad either.
This trip was such an amazing experience and I hope to come back to Japan soon. Thank you so much for watching my vlog series and please watch along on my travels next time!
