Magnitude 6.2 quake hits HokkaidoーNHK WORLD-JAPAN NEWS
The Japan Meteorological Agency says a magnitude 6.2 quake hit Hokkaido on Monday at 5:23 a.m. Agency officials are urging caution. Following the April 20th earthquake off the northern coast, JMA issued a subsequent advisory for a potential mega quake. At a news conference, JMA explained that the latest quake was not related to the advisory.
