China Becomes India’s Top Trade Partner Despite Border Row | Vantage with Palki Sharma

China Beats the US to Become India’s Top Trading Partner | Vantage with Palki Sharma

China overtook the US to become India’s top trading partner in the last financial year. Despite the years-long border standoff between the two countries, India-China continues to grow. But this bilateral exchange is heavily stacked in China’s favour, with India logging a deficit of over $85 billion. While India’s exports to China have fallen marginally in the last five years, China’s exports to India have grown almost 45%. China’s top exports to India include electronics, pharmaceutical raw materials and EV batteries. Other major Asian economies, including South Korea and Japan, are also top traders with China. How are China’s rivals balancing trade and strategic concerns? Palki Sharma tells you.

  1. In ancient times imperialist power used to impose taxes on neighbors now in modern times they are dumping their cheap products ( hampering development and capabilities of domestic market of neighbors), increasing trade imbalance, not opening their own markets .

  2. Work together and find solutions for your political differences ! It is possible. Both countries have huge possibilities to improve . China goes fast, India slower but gearing up . Don’t let the USA divide you !

  3. Doesn't say much for our businessmen and us as a people. All that is required is to strictly stop buying Chinese.
We need to show more awareness like we showed against maldives. For that media and social media needs to be more active.

  4. Why not 200% import duty on Chinese import since last 30 years…???
Share graduation presentation of trade deficit with India and Chinese.

Do not tell lie. No efforts till today to make trade deficit Nil. With Chinese import.

  5. Even Hindu Gods are imported from Chinese.People in India 🇮🇳 prefer Hindu Gods Made in China 🇨🇳 because they are better quality and affordable.

  6. Indian politicians shout: Boycott everything China, whoever shouts loudly gets votes. Meanwhile Indian businessman: See, our country is full of fools, how can we do business without China.😂😂

  7. If the India-China conflict (and other pointless conflicts) could be resolved, the area could collectively have far more influence in the world, and would be able to progress faster.

The human tribal instinct makes for a lot of unnecessary self sabotage.

Just negotiate a permanent solution to the border issues… Somehow.

The only power that really matters in this age, is economic power. And that usually means taking advantage of whatever you can trade, and whoever you can trade with, to create an edge for yourself as well.

Kinda like how China, Korea, and Japan all contribute to chip manufacturing, and none of them really handles the whole supply chain on their own (although China has been pushed into the awkward position of having to try)… In the end, redoing work others have already done, wastes money… Better to invest your talent in developing new areas where you can have advantage.

  8. That is why I tell you to introduce a chapter about Chinese people in school text books with AKBAR so that your community can learn

  9. Trustworthy is most important thing in international trades. Chinese people were the worst outside their direct family members. They changed. India should do the same.

  10. We are making a very big mistake by buying China products –90% of our product's should be produced by Indian companies–we have huge human resources & fertile mineral & natural resources in our country itself & why are we importing product's.This is very bad .

We should produce every product internally–this will also generate local employment opportunities.

  11. World wants advanced goods at lower price Indian government should encourage & start local manufacturers, startups to focus on electronic products, plastics, batteries & ev to give tough competition

  12. This Hindu woman Palki's Hindu mind doesn't have any logic. She could understand that India has no capacity in developing its own supply chain because no Chinese companies dare to invest in India which is known as the graveyard of foreign companies.
