Japan was the biggest economic miracle in the 20th century just after the United States, but a grim turning point occurred when the Plaza Accord was signed.

The US would like to do the same to Chinabut the Chinese learnt a lesson from Japan and doesn't allow Chinese Yuan to float In this regard, China has probably protected their own export. They do have other issues, like propertt market though.
Americans are responsible for ever bad thing that happened to Japan. They are the one that caused the Gempei war, the rise of Imperial Japan, who they then bombed. Ever since they have been playing friend while at the same time sabotaging Japanese economy. So it's kinda what they do with everyone else, even now.
By lying :), until it became true because learning Japanese is not feasible. They did the same with China during Covid. In one year, the gap between the 2 tripled… according to western propaganda but the average city in China is New York
You see the mistake Japan made was not to have other friends and interest around the globe……. It relied totally on exporting only to the west. China and it's leaders are very observant of events around the world, they saw this and learnt lessons from what the west and in particular America did. China had friends all over the world because it supported many independence movements as it was a nation that had Been humiliated by the west. Japan was also a former imperial power and it felt too arrogant to mingle with lesser nations. China's global ties meant it could call on other nations to support its own goals. It invested in infrastructure building which helped to open up new markets. Today America cannot do to China what it did to Japan, NEVER. China is lije the woman who is fighting back ferociously against a serial rapist and enraging that rapist in the process. America is the serial rapist and China the determined and brave woman.
The fact also is that Japan could not have developed to that level in such a short period of time if not for the outpouring of patents, intellectual property, and technology from the U.S.A and US companies. It was the U.S.A. itself that made Japan develop to the point it did. The companies such as IBM, Honeywell, General Electrics played pivotal role in Japanese technology rise.
Plaza accord was just a result. Geo political changes also made Japan's value decrease significantly. However, even after economic collapse Japan has so many opportunities to grow again but the country did nothing for over 30 years. To make Japanese economy crash is Plaza Accord's fault alone is very biased and irresponsible. Although by stopping giving away intellectual property, knowledge, and technology only to Japan, made huge impact on Japanese economy.
I remember reading Serbian newspaper Politika back in the 90's and they often predicted that by 2030-35 China will be no.1 economy, it was long prediction like what will bein 40 years and obviously they were right even though they didn't predict EVs or AI or chip restrictions it seems the prediction was pretty accurate for now
I bet the Japanese knew about it but too weak to stand up after kneeling the US for too long. In their subconscious the US help them to breath same with the Koreans and Filipinos.
Who is writing this? We (US) 1 trillion dollars…. which we are paying interest on, which we can never pay this debt. A huge part of our NATIONAL DEBT…..
Give how the political leadership of Europe is willingly cutting off their own gas supply and abides by American sanctions on the Chinese (eg., ASML), it is not surprising that the Americans were able to convince the Japanese to shoot their own foot.

Do you believe that the U.S. contributed to Japan's economic decline?
India with 1.4 billion population and Modi in leadership will turn the economy table in few years time.

Can all of you believe that Japan which doesn't have resources has grown significantly?
USA Empire is directly or indirectly responsible for most of the world's problems
Yup .But it is oversimplification. If Japan wanted ,it could/can rise again.

Did Japan really sign the agreement voluntarily? Or is there no way to say no?
Now they are doing the same to china

Let’s wait another 10 years and come back to see what the US would have become.

The US recently place in policy to decrease imports of semiconductors from Taiwan and encourage Taiwan to build plants in the US.
How can japanese people still love america after all they’ve done to japan?
中国はこうなるな。アメリカは汚い国だ

Japan needs to walk away from their pacifist stance. The US wrote Japans constitution and look what it got them.
Hindsight is 20-20. Japan was dumb signing the Plaza Accord.
I think American economy is over valued.
Sept 22 1985. How did the G5"intervene in currency markets to weaken the dollar" ?
And their political and economical elite still want to be servant to americans
did Japanese learn about this in their school?
Fast forward to 2025, the U.S. is attempting a repeat to Taiwan's semiconductor industry.
To be an enemy of America can be dangerous, but to be a friend is fatal.
