If at first you don’t reach the moon…ーNHK WORLD-JAPAN NEWS #shorts
A lunar lander developed by Tokyo-based startup ispace has successfully entered orbit after being launched on a rocket from Florida. This is the firm’s second attempt at putting a craft on the moon after failure in April 2023. The rocket blasted off from Kennedy Space Center shortly after 1 a.m. local time on January 15. The lander will make its approach through a series of swing-by maneuvers, before attempting to touch down between late May and early June. Success would make ispace the first Japanese company to put a lander on the moon. #japan #space #moon #spacecraft
