China-US trade war has parallels with Japan in WW2. Will it escalate to military conflict?
While trade wars have often escalated tensions between countries, these are usually diplomatic devices rather than direct pathways to military conflict. However, several factors could heighten the risk of conflict if the trade rivalry intensifies. Threatened by US sanctions and restrictive trade policies, Japan sought to secure its access to resources in the Indo-Pacific. This led to its attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941. Watch former Army Chief Gen MM Naravane (Retd) explain.

smoot hawley tariff , recipocal tariff act then finally embergo leads to pearl harbar
While historical patterns and structural tensions (e.g., Thucydides Trap) suggest risks, the unique dynamics of globalization, nuclear deterrence, and economic codependence make a direct U.S.-China war unlikely. However, proxy conflicts in Taiwan or the South China Sea remain plausible. The trajectory will hinge on whether both nations prioritize de-escalation over nationalist posturing—a lesson underscored by Japan’s miscalculation in 1941.
Who cares. Tariff wariff everywhere😐
But sir for this tension with usa to stop china will have to stop rising and move backwards which is impossible. So china is fighting an illogical predetermined war with the weat anyways. An illogical war
Respected sir, break the 4th wall, by giving a glance at the camera, occasionally.
