Il Giappone mette in guardia dalle conseguenze della mossa tariffaria di Trump | Trump contro Gia…

I want to go back to the trade deals. As you see, we have these beautiful letters that the president has signed. This one is to the president of the Republic of Kore Korea. Original signature on that. Uh and these will be mailed. And then here we also have uh another letter to the prime minister of Japan as well. Both countries will be receiving a 25% tariff rate effective on August 1st. US President Donald Trump slapped 25% tariffs on Japan and South Korea in his first letters to trading partners ahead of a deadline to reach a deal with Washington. However, Japan is not backing down. In a firm response to US President Donald Trump’s latest round of tariffs, Japanese Prime Minister Shageru Ashiba said on Tuesday that Tokyo would continue trade talks, but on its own terms. [Music] [Music] That’s the new deadline set by Trump who on Monday announced that several nations including key allies like Japan and South Korea would face steep new tariffs starting next month. The tariffs set at 25% rattled global markets and marked a sharp escalation in the trade tensions Trump reignited earlier this year. Trump’s tariff threat has already shaken Wall Street. The S&P 500 dropped sharply following the announcement, even as markets in Asia remained more cautious than panicked. Meanwhile, POTUS left the door open to reducing tariffs if Japan and South Korea adjusted their trade practices. Speaking on behalf of the administration, White House press secretary Caroline Levitz said, um, I have the signed letters that went out to both South Korea and Japan today. Um, and there will be approximately 12 other countries that will receive uh notifications and letters directly from the president of the United States. Um and weeks ago I stood at this podium and I told all of you that the president was going to uh create tailormade uh trade plans for each and every country on this planet. Uh and that’s what this administration continues to be focused on. The president will also sign an executive order today delaying the July 9th deadline to August 1st. So the reciprocal tariff rate or these new rates that will be provided in this correspondence to these foreign leaders um will be going out the door uh within the next month or deals will be made and those countries continue to negotiate with the United States. We’ve seen a lot of pol positive developments in the right uh direction. But the administration, the president and his trade team want to cut the best deals for the American people and the American worker. That’s what they’re focused

Japan has strongly pushed back against Donald Trump’s announcement of new 25% tariffs, calling the decision “deeply regrettable” and warning of potential economic fallout. The move is part of Trump’s broader “reciprocal tariffs” strategy, targeting multiple U.S. trading partners. Tokyo has urged Washington to reconsider, highlighting the risk to global trade and US-Japan relations. Here’s what Japan said and how it could impact global markets.

  2. This is truly embarrassing for Trump. 'Make America Great Again' shouldn’t come through harmful tariffs. With his felony convictions, it's concerning to see him continue to hold influence his actions reflect more of a dictator than a democratic leader. He should be held accountable
