Japan and the United States have reached a mutually beneficial trade agreement, Japan’s chief negotiator Ryosei Akazawa announced Tuesday (July 22) in Washington, D.C.

“It was not a simple negotiation but today we reached an agreement that serves the interests of both countries,” Akazawa said.
