Loans, New Economic Zone: Why Japan is Fighting for Influence in Africa | Vantage with Palki Sharma

Japan is making bold moves in Africa. At the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD), Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba pledged billions in investments, a new Indian Ocean-Africa economic zone, and the training of 30,000 AI experts across the continent. As global powers like China and Russia expand their presence, can Japan establish itself as a long-term development partner in Africa?

  1. Japan has no political and no military independence.
The American military is the current military in Japan. This morally corrupt military, on many occasions, has committed crimes against Japanese ladies, with no punishment at all.
The perpetrator is taken to the USA and released, only to laugh at the Japanese, with no shame.
The ruling party in Japan is practically the USA.
Suffice to say that Japan is no country to liaise with.
From the Islamic Republic of Iran.

  2. China Convicious Institute is paying for many African youths to visit and study in China. I admire the Chinese' investment and confidence shown in African youths that they can pay for flights tickets for ordinary African youths caught my eyes. Can india show similar confidence in African youths or America, Brazil and other nations aim to claim cultural dominance?

  3. 54 leaders sit in front of one person. Telling them what he wants to do for them .that nonsensical thing should have been hosted in Africa union headquarters.
Africa doesn't have a plan for themselves. Everyone will provide a plan for them .

  4. There is certainly a struggle for a digital footprint in Africa, we see it very aggressively with Elon Musk with Starlink even threatening destabilization consequences if refused.

  5. It's very disgusting from African puppets rulers, tomorrow small Laos or miammar will also summon them, very disgusting a continent that have everything the world want 🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦

  6. The beggers puppets have ganderd again in Japan 😢😢😢😢😢After years of independence African leaders cannot think outside the box. 😢😢😢AIDS AND LOANS 😮😮

  7. African nations are not economically poor. The politicians and business people are chronically corrupted. That's all. Japan can contribute to introduce a fair and more stringent tax system. The Malaysian PM, Anwar Ibrahim can teach them to combat corruption. China cannot do either. Bad example.
