Norihiko Ishiguro welcomed Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on her visit to Japan.

CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif invited Japanese investors to invest in Punjab’s Special Economic Zones.

She also invited JETRO to initiate joint ventures with Punjab’s public and private sectors.

Tax-free Special Economic Zones are offering land free of cost.

Japanese investors and companies were invited to establish manufacturing and assembly units in Punjab.

“Punjab can become a hub of manufacturing for the Middle East and Africa,” said CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

“Punjab is a huge market from which Japanese investors can benefit,” she added.

CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif invited Japanese companies to set up IT Parks in Nawaz Sharif IT City.

The meeting also discussed training labor and providing skilled workforce in line with the requirements of Japanese companies.

“Pakistan is a country with a majority of youth,” said CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

“We want Japanese companies to help in making Punjab’s youth more skilled,” she added.

The meeting reviewed opportunities to enhance bilateral trade volume.

CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif apprised JETRO’s head about the excellent investment opportunities in Punjab.

She emphasized the need to strengthen links between the business communities of both countries.

CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif also briefed about progress on the Nawaz Sharif IT Park project.

“The under-construction Twin Tower project in Nawaz Sharif IT Park will be completed very soon,” she said.

“World-renowned IT companies are already contacting us for business opportunities in the IT Park,” CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif added.

“We want to take Punjab to new heights of technology like Japan,” she said.

CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif said Punjab can supply Japan with surgical instruments, leather goods, and sports items.

She further stated Punjab is interested in increasing exports of premium Basmati rice to Japan.

“Punjab currently has 20 operational Special Economic Zones available for foreign investment,” said CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
