After India, Japan Snubs US With Last-Minute Cancellation Of Massive Trade Deal Visit

This report covers Japan’s last-minute cancellation of a major trade delegation visit to the United States, a move seen as a significant snub. This action comes as India also stands firm against what is described as US ‘trade bullying,’ creating a common cause between the two economic powers. The deadlock persists despite a reported $550 billion investment offer from Japan. The official reason cited for the cancellation is ‘administrative issues.’ The segment also touches upon criticism from Democrats against the Trump administration for singling out India, and a bizarre statement from Peter Navarro that “blamed India also for the war in Ukraine.” The developments raise questions about how the Mrs.5 administration is handling its trade relationships with key global partners as both nations seem miffed with its approach. #tradewar #ustrade #indiajapan #usjapan #usindia #donaldtrump #tradetalks #breakingnews #indiatoday #globaleconomy #japan #unitedstates #tradedeal #diplomacy #foreignpolicy

  2. The US Immigration and Homeland Services treats Indian professionals like shit, by imposing a 7% country cap.

Total % of H1B speciality visas issued to Indian's = 70%. Number of green cards issued to Indian's = 7%. Rest have to wait, 150 years.

Don't come to the US, if you want permanant residency. Present problems in USA for Indian professionals are:-

Endlessly wait for H1B renewals..Keep watching for emails to get renewal papers.

Going back to India to get H1B visa stamped, every time. Spend on exorbitant air fare and wasted days, to fight and get a slot in the Indian embassy which is forever full.

No end in sight for green cards presently 150 years, because of the 7% country cap,

Everything on temporary hold. Property purchases, long term investment, spouses career options, children's career if they are not born in the US.

Federal taxes equal to US citizens. State dues, sales tax, DMV charges equal to a US citizen, BUT no subsidies or payback, federal relief, equal to a US citizen.

What is the future for H1B speciality visas holders from India, in such situation!. Who wants all these insecurities for specality occupations, when your PR status and US citizen coworkers have got it so easy.

You have to compete at work and even out of work (with US Homeland Immigration), just to maintain your visa status, time after time. It's frustrating and taxing. Please STOP this torture, once and for all. MS and Phd professionals from India are at a complete disadvantage in the US.

Canada, Australia NZ and Germany, Czech are far better, as you will get permanent residency in a few short years, helping you take long term decisions. In the USA it could take 'forever' . Please don't waste your parents hard earned money by coming here to study. Opt out! 😅😮

  3. People have put Trumps bizarre behaviour down to mental instability, senility, or Trumps narcissistic nature. However the US administration's crazy behaviour is the result of something else, and that there is a method behind its madness. Basically the US is about to default on its mind blowing $37 trillion government debt, of which $26 trillion is foreign debt, and which the US will never be able to pay back. Something similar happened to China when Xi Ping first realised that China was essentially bankrupt and could never pay back the debt they accumulated. China adopted the aggressive war mongering warrior bully tactics, the extortion tactics straight out of the Al Capone school of economics, and the making up of false claims and dictats, and invasion of the South China sea and India's himalayan territories in the hope of acquiring oil, mineral, hydro electric power, water and fishing rights in the hope of staving off this inevitable collapse. Japan's military government did something similar when it faced a similar food and resource shortage before launching the colonisation of Korea and Manchuria, Germany when it launched WW2 after it ended up bankrupt after the 1930's depression. The current US administration is following the same path right now, because it fears the inevitability of defaulting on its massive government debt in the next cycle of bond issuance after recent US government bond issues failed to be taken up.Trump's tariff negotiation under threat and intimidation of even higher tariffs and unilateral imposition of tariffs without approval by the US Congress is illegal as ruled by the US Supreme Court recently (because the Congress and not the President has the authority under the US constitution to negotiate trade deals and tariffs). However right now Trump is classifying the tariffs as emergency of security measures, and that is how he is enforcing these arbitrary tariffs, attempts at regime change, and arbitrary sanctions in the US. These might be challenged in the US Congress, but overturning them may take years. Therefore Trump is the defacto dictator of the USA, and because he considers the US as the world's only superpower to which other countries are vassals, he also is the self appointed dictator of the world. With the EU and Japan, he threatened them with punitive sanctions (which he can impose using dictatorial emergency powers), and then offered them an unbalanced reduction to 15% tariff if the EU/Japan would agree to invest $600 billion in the US. Neither Trump nor the EU or Japan can force private sector companies to invest in the US, but Trump has claimed he will be able to control where that investment would go. This means Trump's intention is that if the investment does not appear, the US will seize the $600 billion from the EU and Japan's US dollar reserves if the US Treasury bond sales fall short and use this to prevent the US from defaulting, and invest this money as he sees fit in the US. The fact that he has got agreement with EU and Japan for the investment in the US will allow him to do that if it is being held as US dollar reserves under emergency powers even if the details are vague, and don't think he will not do it – the US government has already proven that it can and will in the case of the $300 billion of Russian US dollar reserves seized by the US. India's tariff negotiations were going well by all accounts including those from the US negotiation team until Trump suddenly sprung the Al Capone protection racket threat at the last moment, and added the Russian oil purchase sanction tariffs in for good measure. Trump was planning to dump heavily subsidised US agricultural produce on India like GM produce, hormone injected meat, cattle fed with waste meat (which is a Bovine Spongiform Encephalitis and Human CJD risk for meat and dairy. These are products that other countries like the EU, China, and Japan will not accept, and India was intended to be a dumping ground for these. The more recent actions by Navarro such as calling the Ukraine war India as "Modi's war", and the US trying to require India to get US permission to sell Indian US dollar reserves is a clear indication that Trump administration is intending to seize India's $700 billion US dollar reserves in the same way that the Biden administration seized Russia's $300 billion in US dollar reserves if the US gets into financial difficulties. The excuse though bogus will be India is fuelling the Ukraine was through its oil purchases. What is more Trump can do it given the dictororial emergency powers he has as the President of the USA, the worlds only nuclear armed banana republic. If the Modi government is smart, it should sell off its US dollar reserves as quickly as possible and convert it into gold, silver, platinum, and Euro and Yen reserves as quickly as possible. The EU and Japan should be cautious about signing up to "invest" money in the US as Trump in his role as Emperor of the US can do whatever he wants with EU and Japanese assets to that amount, if he deems that there is a security threat or emergency associated with that. The "signed agreement" will be Trump's justification that there is a breach by the EU or Japan to the agreement on whatever basis Trump alleges, and he has alleged some ridiculous basis so far. I think that is why Japan is pausing the negotiations on the so called "trade deal" with the US.

  4. How can you negotiate with a country that is in self made turmoil. You can't trust that rules or "deals" made will hold fast. No country will deal with the US shortly
