Japan’s Cabinet has approved a record-breaking defense budget exceeding ¥9 trillion ($58 billion) for fiscal 2026, marking a 9.4% increase to bolster strike capabilities with missiles and drones. This move accelerates Japan’s plan to reach 2% of GDP in military spending, positioning it as the world’s third-largest defense spender amid escalating regional threats. The boost comes after Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi’s November remarks suggesting Japan could intervene in a China-Taiwan conflict, sparking intense diplomatic tensions with Beijing. Focus areas include long-range standoff missiles, unmanned “SHIELD” coastal defenses, and joint fighter jet development with allies like Britain and Italy. As China protests and conducts nearby military exercises, questions arise: Is this driven by fear of Beijing or pressure from Washington?

Especially in the Asia Pacific region as a whole. Japan is a Beautiful country, beautiful humble people,very clean country.But in their hearts is full of astrocities. Japan is a great country but was control by the US imperialist and this makes Japan innovative products stagnant.

    It's NOTHING! After approved, Japan's military budget is $58 Billion in 2026!
    There is NOTHING for India to worry about!
    In 2025, India military budget is already $86B, Russia $148B, China $314B, and the US $997B.

Xi Jinping has declared his intention to make China the world's leading military power, and continues to produce 100 nuclear warheads per year. He also sends armed vessels into the territorial waters of neighboring countries and frequently conducts large-scale military exercises near Taiwan. CCP is seeking to seize hegemony over Asia and possesses the capabilities to do so. Japan has neither the intention nor the capabilities to do so, but must prepare for threats within the scope of its right of self-defense.

    Teach you some science, not all nukes are the same, one hydrogen bomb could be 1000 times more powerful than an atomic bomb, the latter your Japanese has tasted two 80 years ago. Not all states are equal. Only the 5 permanent members in the UN security council have hydrogen bombs, your Japanese may wanna taste something new after 80 years. Remember: Japan is only a war criminal state in the UN, the enemy state clauses are still valid in the UN Charter, and the Instrument of Japanese Surrender shall be enforced soon.😊😊😊

    China simply allowed the U.S. to stretch itself impossibly thin. Depleat weapon stockpiles run it's fleets ragged.
    China secured Africa and most of earths rare earth minerals.
    Our warehouses overflow with 99.99% all things made in China.
    We did to ourselves. As I have always said, China will absorb Taiwan in 26.

    China is not reading the proverbial room- they are pooping their chests when the new fancy guns and missiles and fighters gained from well over 25 yrs of American 💵 in their pockets," BUT" they have India on their west, Japan and South Korea and Vietnam, Australia and New Zealand to their South and the US sitting back and smiling……For all you China bots and brain dead party members, the US has plans to DIVEST from China ( watching Indian industrial growth) and Japan and South ( Real ) Korea , Vietnam and Phillippines can do what China is doing commercially ….

    I'm pretty sure, that Japan is building a weapon stronghold, and pretend that it is against china, but it is only pretend, the real reason is to remove usa from their country, and be strong enough.
