The Unexpected Country That Buys The Most Clothes
Out of all the countries, China buys the most total clothes by volume, mostly due to the fact that it has 1.5 Billion people.
However, it is not the country that spends on the most on clothes per capita.

Surprisingly the US buys the most items of clothing per capita at 53, but because people are buying lower quality and less expensive items of clothing, the US is not the leader in clothes spending per capita.

Norwegians buy more snowy winter clothes
Non native speaker here, shouldn't that be "Items of clothing" rather than "Items of clothes"?
I can go years without buying clothes..
When I do, it's when something has been worn out, mostly socks.

Man im a Bangladeshi 21 year old dude and realized how poor i am. Like i only buy clothes on Ramadan Eid (Muslim religious Holiday, like Christmas) . And That's 2 traousers, 2 t shirts, 2 Shirts and two full pants. But in some eid i don’t buy trousers and T shirts as i have those from previous Eid. Just 2 shirts and maybe a full pant and pair of shoes. So around 30 USD at max 😂😅😅
I am certain it's because we need to have a very varied wardrobe for our climate.
I buy shoes twice or thrice a year for summer and winter for an example as my old pair are old and ruined.
I thought it's would be Swiss. No brand shoes there starting at $250 in Zuri DT
this doesn't take into account that in some countries life is more expensive than in others.
what makes me a low middle class in spain would make me rich in mexico so, evidently, the money I would spend in clothes would be different.

In India the every women have at least one dress made of gold or silver which cost about $1000 starting range.
I have lived in Norway for 6 years, and prices are about the same for clothes in Norway as in Germany and Italy. Norwegians spend a lot of money, way more than other Scandinavians on outdoor gear and a big chunk of that goes to outdoor clothes. Also men in Norway just like other Scandinavian countries tend to have a higher interest for fashion than men in most other countries. Another thing is that Norwegians oftentimes buy quality brands, it does not come of as showing off, more that people want their stuff to remain good.
I bought a new swimsuit this year and ….thats the only clothing I've bought since 2019😂.
These people need to try charity shopping or clothes swaps

Literally the only clothes i got are gifs i haven't buy nothing from like 15 years when i found a nice plane hoodie
I've bought exactly 3 articles of clothing this year and last. That said, I do cosplay and alter my own clothing so I'm doing alright. I need to clean out the worn stuff I have stuff I still fit from 2 decades ago and more that was gifted which I kept but always hated.
