– China remains the world’s leading producer followed by the US.
Reasons behind the rise of India’s solar power generation
– India has a favorable geographical location as it experiences clear sunny weather for 250 to 300 days a year.
– There is a reduction in the cost of solar power in India since 2010.
– Initiatives like Solar Park Scheme, PM-KUSUM, PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, and the International Solar Alliance (ISA) are some of the examples through which India is tapping solar power.
