BSE Listed Firms Surpass $5 Trillion In Market Cap For The First Time: India On Global Map #shorts

For the first time ever, the market cap of BSE listed stocks has breached the major $5 trillion mark in intraday trade on May 21. Notably, the exchange had hit the $4 trillion mark in November. So it has risen a whopping $1 trillion in just 6 months. The milestone comes just days ahead of the election results on June 4. This pace of wealth creation has never seen before in the history of the market. The leg of bull run is being fueled by DIIs, retails and NHI investors as FIIs have pulled out at least Rs 28,000 crore from D-st in the month. On global map, India is the fifth largest stock market behind Hong Kong, Japan, China and US.
