  1. Stop blaming China for VW's own mismanagement. You're gonna pretend their Diesel-gate con job never happened? They also had a front row seat to the EV evolution as the largest automaker in China in the last decade. Pretending to be caught off guard about the EV evolution would be like pretending to not know anything about the camps back in the 40's

  2. Energy costs are entirely government & NATO enslavement caused…or "Putin" as the brain dead will pretend. Yes, "Putin" let Volkswagon & Germany exist in the top tier. How evil of him/them!

  3. I find it funny that Volkswagen has to learn how to build better cars by a country that has a reputation for stealing technology and copying designs. Not making new ones.

  4. Why on earth would they move to Mexico to then have massive shipping costs and tariffs to sell within the EU? Im pretty sure this will hurt them further because it might just hurt sales within the EU even more.

  5. Interesting piece w/ goid points on the intertwining of global industrial interest – to your point on VW investment in Chinese factories and production begs the question SINCE THEY'VE BEEN IN BED TOGETHER how did they miss out on integrating the chinese car software developements that have plagued the VW models BUT NOT the Chinese manufacturers – im sure its not far from the BOEING story – going back to VW 'diesel gate' when profitable shortcuts replace engineering know-how = really a shame – Between iD3 & The new VW Bus program they had good design but the pricing was too high and KiA has been eating up market share w/ better designs and top rated warranties

  6. Volkwagen EV cars are simply not good enough. And they have a board that had been laughing at legislation for years (e.g. the diesel scam) and thought they had politicians by the balls. The owners belong to the elites of Germany, and the elites are extremely conservative, for the very last thing they want is to change the conditions that brought them to their lofty positions. This made them tonedeaf to change. Note that the EVs that legacy companies in Germany produce(d) are nothing but ICE cars with an electric motor in it and that does not cut it. They are not EVs at all, they are ICE cars with a different motor. That is the fastest way to phase yourself out. And that is what Europe did. And batteries? I have tried to put a battery factory in place. Laughing out loud. Huge electricitiy and fossil fuel interest buy the only places where one could start a battery factory and then pretend to build one BUT NEVER DO. And then the immensely thick politicans wonder why Europe is lagging so far behind. I have never encountered such stupid and cowardly politicians as in Europe.

  7. So quick question what about the fact 1/3 of Germans will be over 65 by the end of the decade and this assumes they keep the 2nd highest immigration in the world. Where do the workers of the future come from?
