  2. As a Taiwanese American thank you Japan!

China is a bully in the world who lies and doesn't care about it's people. Glad somebody is standing up to them without sounding scared.

  3. The Japanese have always been most worried about China and the U.S. getting closer. It’s like a vassal state desperately trying to prove its usefulness to its master.

  4. -Japan military has depended and relied on US for "approval, protection and weapon supply," due to grave and vicious mistakes after WW2.

China has learned from the past and on selves reliant, and Japan pretentious hawks want to open their national old wound and well as the wound that they gave to China? REALLY?

-This can be a test for China military as well as Japan's, and guess what: the stock will dive down!

-Look at the "deep bow" and "kiss-ass smiles" from Takaichi and her predecessor, Shigeru Ishiba, with trump at the White House and at the Akasaka Palace, what do you think who is the master and who is humble servant?

  5. The new PM of Japan is sooo earger and excited to please and impress her master, the US of ARROGANCE to get Trump's attention. Maybe she is asking for military aid indiretly by raising the Taiwan issue.

  6. There are Japanese officials and FOOLITIANS who admire Americans more than their own Japanese people. And the new PM is no exception. I remember a former PM of Japan who said his favorite is Elvis Prestley. These kind of people are truly minions who are willing to sacrifice their own country forthe interest of others. what a shame

  7. Common Understanding in Japan:
“Eighty-seven percent of Japan’s oil tankers travel from the Middle East through this sea lane, and Taiwan lies at the center of that route.”

    Hypothetical Analysis:
“If China were to impose a naval blockade on Taiwan, it would constitute a situation that threatens Japan’s survival,” said Takaichi.

    Conclusion:
If China does not take military action against Taiwan, the risk to Japan and broader regional stability would remain low.

  10. I am Japanese, and I would like to offer an explanation because this news may cause misunderstandings.

A Chinese invasion of Taiwan would inevitably include an invasion of Japan’s territory—the Senkaku Islands.

The reason Prime Minister Takaichi made her remarks regarding a “Survival-Threatening Situation” is the issue surrounding the Senkaku Islands. Historically, the Senkaku Islands have always been under Japan’s control. However, China claims that “the Senkaku Islands belong to Taiwan,” that “Taiwan is part of China,” and therefore that “the Senkaku Islands are Chinese territory.”

Consequently, a Chinese invasion of Taiwan would inevitably include an invasion of Japan’s territory—the Senkaku Islands. This is why Prime Minister Takaichi stated that if China were to invade Taiwan, the Self-Defense Forces would have no choice but to mobilize.

This position is not new; previous prime ministers have made the same assertion. The reason it is drawing attention now is that this is the first time a sitting prime minister has made such a statement *in the National Diet*.

  11. I’m in Tokyo right now, and it’s crowded with tourists from mainland China who are littering, spitting in malls, kicking deer at Nara Park, and disregarding local customs. Why do people from mainland China complain about Japan yet still choose to vacation here?

  12. Japan is inherently expansionist. Everything else is just an excuse. The Korean civil war before the First Sino-Japanese War—what did it have to do with Japan? Yet, Japan saw it as an opportunity to "incident in Korea, incident in Japan," leading to its invasion of Korea and a major conflict with China, Korea's suzerain state. The Mudan Incident—the conflict between the Ryukyu and Taiwanese aboriginal peoples—what did it have to do with Japan? Yet, Japan saw it as an opportunity to "incident in Ryukyu, incident in Japan," leading to its coveting of Taiwan.

Furthermore, in the Mukden Incident and the July 7th Incident, Japan also found a pretext before launching wars.

For a country like Japan, whose core is expansionism, it should be thoroughly defeated to ensure peace in East Asia for centuries to come.
