Taiwan Slams China’s ‘Economic Coercion’ As Japan Faces Seafood Ban Amid Growing Diplomatic Rift
Taiwan’s Foreign Minister Lin Chia-Lung has pledged full support for Japan as tensions escalate with China over comments made by new Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi. Beijing has signaled plans to ban all imports of Japanese seafood and urged Chinese citizens to avoid traveling to Japan, leading to mass cancellations that could economically impact Tokyo.
This comes as Japan said that recent moves in the foreign exchange market were “sharp and one-sided,” and that authorities would watch the market closely as the yen slumped against the dollar.

Japan's seafood and tourism industries are largely supported by Chinese people. Without Chinese consumers, the annual loss would amount to hundreds of billions of dollars. The majority of consumers in Japan are wealthy Chinese, which could easily lead to the bankruptcy and closure of these industries in Japan.
This is not bully measures.
China has the right to use whatever economic measures that China sees deem fit and proper.
