Japan Has Angered Their Largest Trade Partner: Can They Afford Beijing’s Wrath Right Now?
China and Japan are face to face like never before in recent history. One statement from Tokyo has set off alarms in Beijing and what happens next could redraw Asia’s balance of power. I’m Ananya Data. Let’s get started. [Music] Let’s quickly get you up to speed with what has happened so far. Sanitaka was nominated as Japan’s first female prime minister on October 21st. Her hawkish stance in China was well known. But to everyone’s surprise, within 10 days for taking the top seat, she invited Chinese President Xiinping to meet in South Korea. The meeting went well and both leaders agreed to work together. The next 10 days went by quietly and then this happened. If China were to deploy battleships and involve the use of force, I believe this could be deemed a situation threatening Japan’s survival. That was Takayichi’s response to an opposition lawmakaker’s question on under what circumstances a contingency around Taiwan would be a survival threatening situation for Japan. In Tokyo, a survival threatening situation is just a legal way of saying that the military is allowed to use force. And this is the first time a Japanese prime minister has referred to the Taiwan confrontation in those many words. For years, Beijing’s ambition in Taiwan has made Japan very worried because by the looks of it, Japan and China might not seem like neighbors, but they are. mainland China has the sea of Japan, Russia, North Korea and South Korea in between. And the broad East China Sea divides the Nagasaki coast to the Shanghai coast. But the more you zoom in, you realize the southernmost Japanese island is less than 100 kilometers away from Taiwan’s coast. So even though former prime ministers in Tokyo have steered clear of discussing the scenario of Taiwan being attacked, it has definite foreign policy repercussions for Japan. And Takahayi understands that and her direct acknowledgement of the scenario has made Beijing furious. In fact, one of its diplomats even used undiplomatic language against her. He threatened to decapitate anyone who interfered in China’s affairs, Dhaka included. This was China’s council general in Osaka. He has deleted his tweet since and this incident has snowballed into a public fallout with far greater repercussions. First is trade. China is Japan’s largest trading partner. Chinese consumer brands like Sheen have found a foothold in Japan. Even electric car manufacturers like BYD have found their customers in a market cluttered by Japan’s automakers. The spat threatens to damage businesses operating across both economies. And Japan seems to be on the losing end here. Its investment in China and Hong Kong are at record low while Beijing is expanding its footprint in machinery, cars, and chemicals. These uncertainties are confusing the investors who are bracing for what’s to come. The declining stock prices reflect the market concerns over the deterioration of China Japan relations. China is indispensable as it is Japan’s largest trading partner. Yet the Japanese prime minister’s statements seem to have completely ignored the important relations between the two countries. Third is defense. Prime Minister Takayi has made it clear that she wants to expand the Japanese military even though its constitution calls for pacifism, a decision that was taken post World War II. But with changing geopolitics, Takayi has decided to increase her defense spending target to 2% of the GDP. A decision that was lauded by the United States, who is the largest defense partner of Japan. But now that the situation has become quite real between Tokyo and Beijing, Washington has pulled one of its most efficient missile systems, Typhon from one of Japan’s islands. And this is according to South China Morning Post. Under a security treaty, the US is obligated to defend Japan if it is attacked. And with Typhoon capable of launching missiles that could reach far beyond Beijing and Shanghai, Washington couldn’t have risked escalating the situation. That being said, Takayichi is extremely wary of China Russia ties and her country falling victim to US China rivalry. Teach’s remarks prove that the desire among Japan’s right-wing to revive militarism has never gone away. Many political parties in Taiwan are questioning her motives, believing this is an attempt to drag Taiwan into a conflict. Her statements have completely crossed the red line. Now, tourism has also been hit. China has issued a travel advisory against visiting Japan in the near future due to the bilateral spat. According to Japan Tourism Agency, Chinese tourists were the top spenders among all foreign visitors last quarter, accounting for around 27% of total inbound consumption. So first of all, this is a huge loss for us. Additionally, our fixed monthly expenses are about 10 million yen. If this lasts for one or two months, we can manage. But if the situation continues to worsen, it will obviously have a major impact on our business operations and management. Now, Takayi is a prodigy of former Prime Minister Shinszu Abbe who once had famously said, “A Taiwan emergency is a Japanese emergency.” The ongoing row with China is proving to be Takai’s first foreign policy test. She has gone on record to say that she will not budge down from her statement on Taiwan. And Beijing on the other hand is using this to make a case for any other country that plans to challenge its one China policy. So the question now is how far will they go just to make a point. I’m Ananya Data. Thanks for watching. [Applause] [Music]

The US regime supplying nukes to Japan poses an existential threat, not only to China but also Russia (with 6,000+ nukes) and North Korea! In such a case, MAINLAND USA WILL BE NUKED! Trump, or whichever buffoon who replaces him, should understand that the other nuclear superpowers will not allow mainland USA and the US regime, to exist or be the last-man standing, when these nuclear superpowers are threatened! The coward US regime can claim "plausible deniability"! When the existence of these nuclear superpowers is threatened, nobody gives a damn to what the cowards of Washington, Brussels, London, Tokyo, Soeul, Canberra, Manila, etc. say!
Like Iran, China's military build-up is aimed at defending itself against, and defeating the US military! Japan is just a footnote in China’s military planning! US running b*tch, Sanae Takaichi, should stop her delusion of grandiose regarding her minnow Japanese Army! Iran's military build-up was to fight the US military in West Asia, not USA's Mini-Me, Israel! Look at what happened to Bibi Mini-Me Netanyahu and the Israeli Army after just 12 days of bombardment by Iran! Netanyahu had to run to Donald Trump, crying and begging Donald to beg Iran for a ceasefire! The same will happen to Japan if Japan crosses China's Taiwan redline! Even the US regime knows that US Navy assets in South China Sea and East China Sea will be sunk in 20 minutes!
The lessons from Ukraine and Israel is that Iran, Russia and China MUST HIT HARD when attacked by US barbarians and their "allies", aka pawns, useful idiots and battering rams! Japan's Sanae Takaichi, will be shown no mercy if Japan crosses China's Taiwan redline! Germany is asking for a piece of the action, with its "rebranded" Taurus missiles! Barbarians do not appreciate civil behaviour and patience! The only language a barbarian understands is a BLOODY NOSE! Barbarians see civilised behaviour as weakness!
Takaichi is right to intervene if China dares invade the free and independent nation of Taiwan.
China is BIG BULY…has problem with ALL neighbors and even distant ones with claims of sovereignty as far as Malaysia Indonesia Philippines etc 😅
Takaichi is 100% confident that Trump will come to her rescue and give her what she ask for.
Super samurai woman can tease china for a long long time😂😂😂
It's not "one statement" lady. Watch your speech, 😅😂
Japan will have to retract and apologise . It's just a matter of time. China holds more cards.
Takaichi PM OF JAPAN will only stop Xi agression in Asia😅 Period…
Another U.S. puppet trying to instigate war. Japan has never been sovereign entity ever since losing the war and receiving nukes on their domes. They can't even say no to U.S. military practices on their own soil, which is supposedly called the land of the rising sun historically. Now it's just a secret slave.
Mint used to have no BIAS, but saying 1 statement is a whole ass lie.
Japan longing for war because their economy is going down trend. They don't want a country like China to become economic powerhouse. Japanese knew that in coming years, they'll be categorized into 3rd world country. That's a greatest slap to them. They knew USA and its puppets like Philippines will support them in war against China. Japanese are doing their best to bring more countries in war against China so that they'll have more allies to face China in battle.
So folks, there's it. Everybody prepare for the coming war.
Now Japan has to face economics sanctions from China.
Let's forget the past, let's respect each other's sovereignty, let's live in harmony, let not our heart cover with greed, let's follow international laws.
The purpose of a law is to:
1. *Maintain order*: Establish rules to govern society and prevent chaos.
2. *Protect citizens*: Safeguard individual rights, safety, and property.
3. *Promote justice*: Ensure fairness and equality under the law.
4. *Regulate behavior*: Set standards for acceptable conduct.
5. *Resolve disputes*: Provide a framework for resolving conflicts.
Laws aim to balance individual freedoms with societal needs, promoting stability and justice.
Let's follow international laws, everything will be in harmony do not let our heart be overwhelmed with greed.
GREED is the problem of the world.

How much anger does the uncircumcised Jingping can scare and terrify Japan?
By Japan action it is escalating tensions with China would severely damage Japan’s economy, particularly manufacturing and primary industries. because China will restricted rare-earth exports and halted all imports. Historical indictment of Japan, asserting the kill of 35 Millions Chinese has not fully acknowledged the scale of harm inflicted during its imperial-era campaigns in China and has instead allowed narratives that minimize or distort those events with Japan recent Action is compounding the original wrongdoing by Genocidal War Criminal Japan may be time for Japanese to stop interfering in China Matter and work on Japan Problem:
1. Learn international Politic
2. Correct the Japanese Genocidal History
3. Ask all nations Japan did wrong in WW2.
4. Stay out of Military
5. Shut up and stay quiet
China is following Art of war
Everybody is talking about this , including this video , but NO ONE has YET shown Japan's prime minister's ORIGINAL parliamentary WORDS in the Diet, about Taiwan. Thus words will change because people will add their opinions on her words. SHOW US THE ORIGINAL WORDS!
She is right on. The mainland should shut its mouth. Japan is correct. Throw the "diplomat" that madebthe comment out of Japan.
Time for China to completely ban of military Rare Earth export to Japan since the country wants to rearm because the world have not forgotten the war crime Japan committed
This arrogant woman is a liability to Japan China and Taiwan that has led to a conflict that cannot be reversed what an idiot she should resign immediately before things are esculated further.
She is an Iron Lady. India should support her diplomatically. China's bullying tactics are undermining local peace and security.
It would be wise for Asian countries not to indulge in internecine degradation. This is not the era of self destruction but of self emancipation and progress.
