Sanae Takaichi has secured a supermajority of more than two-thirds in the Lower House after calling snap elections in just 16 days. An unprecedented result that gives her enormous political power… and could open the door to something that has seemed impossible since 1947: reforming Japan’s Constitution.

Are we witnessing Japan’s “restoration”?

In this video, we analyze:

🇯🇵 How the Liberal Democratic Party went from its second-worst historical result to a crushing victory.
📈 Why Takaichi enjoys popularity above 75% (and over 90% among young people).
💴 The ambitious—and controversial—economic plan that has made markets nervous.
⚔️ What it would mean to amend the famous Article 9, the one that enshrines Japanese pacifism.
🇨🇳 And how rising tensions with China and the defense of Taiwan could reshape the balance of power in Asia.

For decades, Japan has been an economic powerhouse with a restrained military role.
But that may be about to change.

Will we see the end of pacifist Japan?
Can Takaichi fulfill her promises without triggering an economic crisis?
And what role will China, the United States, and the Japanese Senate play in all of this?

We break it all down in this video.

  1. Yes, please rescind Article 9 as the post-war constitution was forced down the Diet by the MacArthur administration. The Meiji constitution is the true Japanese constitution.

  2. 過去の石破、岸田総理が、愚劣の上、中国寄りで酷かった。
     高市は真面目で好感が持てます。

  3. Overall, it simply presents China’s claims as evidence. Japan only argues that it could counter China if China invaded Taiwan and clashed with U.S. forces—not that Japan would defend Taiwan, but that it would defend the United States. It was a poorly argued video.

  4. 90% support? That can go extremely well, or extremely bad. In any case, change is about to come for Japan.
I know 0.001 <your unit here> about Japan,.. i know more about some mentioned persons (Trump,Thatcher,…). My head still hurts when thinking of The Iron Lady's aftermath, and how that is still influencing our lives today (Shift power from governments to big companies, so there will be competition, and that will make everything cheaper).
If politicians are honest, things will end up better. If they are not, another few decades are wasted. Hope for the best Japan.

  5. For the Canada comment, it shows and shows how easy it is to brainwash and manipulate a population. Trump was never actually the threat. The threat was and is the political party that has led Canada for over the last 10 years. Especially when you stack up the foreign interference that keeps surfacing from the likes of the CCP…..

  6. Depends on whether they can start having families again. If so, they have a shot, if not this is for nothing.
