India is a agriculture country can produce abundant ethanol like Brazil and become energy independent. Since 20 years Brazil cars a running on ethanol and even there kitchens run on ethanol or invest in hydrogen like Japan is doing

Our planners have been reducing dependence on oil imports on paper for a long time. Concerted efforts should have been made to build nuclear power station. Non conventional energy like solar and wind energy should be aggressively promoted.
