Officials are still confirming the extent of the destruction caused by Tuesday’s powerful earthquake in southwestern Japan, which killed at least 30 people, damaged hundreds of buildings, and disrupted water and electricity. NHK World’s Miyamoto Rikuya reports live from Kumamoto.
