Miniature realistic replicas of food, crafted from non-edible materials, are gaining recognition as a unique art form. 65-year-old Urata Takako of Nagasaki Prefecture is an artist who has made more than 100 types of miniature food. She moved to Nagasaki fifteen years ago but found it hard to adjust. Then, she found miniature food art. It gave her a new sense of purpose at a challenging time.
