An annual tea ceremony held while viewing plum blossoms took place at Shukkeien Garden in Hiroshima. The garden was created in the Edo period. It has 140 plum trees in 19 varieties that have red or white blossoms. Visitors enjoyed fresh sweets in the shape of plum blossoms and matcha green tea prepared on the spot. According to Shukkeien, the garden’s plum blossoms will peak in early March.
