  1. You can say what you want about California, but that thing carries the US. Even did 6% economic growth and we still have Republican fools that want to be run like Mississippi. Say what you want about that state and it's problem which it does have, but it always overcomes.

  2. For some of you people out there hating on California, you may want to check some facts, California takes less money federally than other states in the US, has one of the highest taxes than other states in the US, and contributes more money federally than most of the other states. California helps other states in the US that are more reliant on federal government funding with our financial contribution to the federal government.
    You're welcome!!! Love California!!!

But hey, we, Californians, will be happy not to contribute money federally anymore, and let's see how the rest of the states do in the US without our contribution. Yes, we Californians have a higher economy, and for quite some time now. We also have a higher population, higher cost of living, and again higher taxes, which would create higher percentages socially and economically. California is considered a "donor" state, not a "dependent" state in the US. California is ranked 2nd in the US for being the least reliant on funding from the federal government. Look it up.

Again, to all the haters of California in the US, you're welcome!!!!

  3. [Reposting Unedited Comment that appears to have been deleted by The Washington Examiner] Question – Why does this report not state that this "conclusion" came from Governor Gavin Newsom's website 24 hours ago? Question – Did Governor Gavin Newsom subtract the California GDP from the U.S. GDP? Why? The International Monetary fund only posts data by country. The U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis only posts data of United States. This report appears to imply that either of those organizations made the conclusion that California is the 4th largest economy. That is not true, neither did they "report" that "finding". I seem to recall as a former elementary school teacher that we taught children maybe in the… 2nd grade to notice that this chart is comparing countries to a state. I believe Sesame Street taught that lesson, as well? One of these things is not like the other… now it's time to play our game? Neither of the two "sources" made this conclusion. Gavin Newsom's team made this conclusion and then his team decided to spread it through California media outlets as though California functions alone as its own country without the entire other 49 states being ESSENTIAL contributors to its economy. California is absolutely nothing without the rest of the country as consumers and vice versa. If Gavin wants to pretend that he is President of the Country of California, it is time for those other countries that are engaging with the United States consumer to begin pushing back at Newsom's attempts to swindle Californians that they belong to their own country. This is a dangerous social media game and I am an advocate of boycotting all California media sources that continue to spread this social media propaganda campaign of Newsom's. This clip states that there was a 6% growth LAST YEAR. The fact is the The U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis recently reported a mere 1.4% change in GDP in California for the 2024 third quarter. Meaning THIS YEAR. Which is DOMINATED by the 4.0% change in Hawaii, 4.2% in Mississippi, and (eh hem) 5.1% in Arkansas? Essentially, Arkansas kicked everyone's * in the third quarter… if I'm reading the BOE chart correctly where California is not listed as its own country because then it wouldn't be in the report? Way to go, America's 25th state, Arkansas! California has been a state of AMERICA as an economically cooperative unit for 175 years. Can someone send Gavin the Memo? TIA I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, but I recognize a coordinated social media swindle when I see one, ABC 10News. [The Washington Examiner] – Washington Examiner was the second outlet this was posted on.

  4. Based on what statistic? California is in debt, people are over taxed, cost of living is the highest in the country, tourism is actually way down and victims of natural disasters are still in need of help!

  5. A total sham, they factor in tax funded industries, Government jobs, welfare and Social services and an inflated rental market. Democrats will do anything for publicity.

  6. No, it’s not it has the potential of being that but it is completely bankrupt with billions of dollars missing which no one knows where it went. You’re repeating talking points from 15 years ago.

  7. Just imagine what it was like here before liberals. There were steel mills. (Kaiser), there were aircraft assembly plants, Lockheed, Boeing, McDonnel Douglas, even Learjet had a facility. Foundries. Firearms manufacturers. Ford Motor Company was even here. Sorry, but California might have the 4th largest economy, but it's in spite of liberals, not because of them.
