Has any American manufacturer announced they will move manufacturing back to the US after Trump's tariffs? I haven't heard of any one moving back. Why? For every product moved back, the supply chain of all its components (from raw materials to components to assembly) have to be moved back as well. Samsung decided to move the entire supply chain of their cell phones from China to Vietnam. It took them 10 years (from 2009 to 2019). And Vietnam is located very close to China. No manufacturer will spend billions to move supply chains back with no certainty that the next occupant of the WH will retain Trump's tariffs 3 or 10 years down the road, not to mention these products will cost a LOT more, due to higher American wages, inefficient American supply chains, higher cost of raw materials, etc.
