How Dragon Ball’s ending can disrupt Japan’s economy?!

How Dragon Ball ending could disrupt Japan’s economy. Dragon Ball is a big money maker and has been so for quite a few decades now. That’s the reason that if the franchise suddenly ended, Japan would take a major hit from an economical standpoint. That’s what can be understood following Kazuhiko Torishima’s comments in the recent Japan Expo 2025, where he explained the actual reason that Dragon Ball GT was created back in the day. The first ever Dragon Ball editor explained that there were a lot of people relying on Dragon Ball at the time and that if Dragon Ball had ended with Z’s finale, that would have caused lots of economic problems. That’s the reason that Tolli came up with the Dragon Ball GT idea. But Tori Shima knew that Akira Toriyama would refuse to work on it since he had just finished DBZ. That’s why he simply asked for a few characters in the plot. So the main takeaway from all this is as long as Dragon Ball is still making money, which it certainly is, the franchise won’t end anytime soon. Maybe we’re closer to some new project than it certainly looks
