Muhammad Sadek established a school about 20 years ago outside Kurumpur to serve Rohingya refugee children. It is financed by donations and now provides education to 104 students free of tuition. I like this school and we have so much subject to do and I love met my friends. In the 1990s, Myamar experienced suppression under military rule. Sadk joined the pro-democracy movement and was detained three times. Fearing for his life, he fled to Malaysia where he saw many Rohingya children in desperate circumstances. The children’s were begging at the roadside. There were no schoolings at all. I found that some children’s go to the grocery shops, steal the items, committing crimes. We have to give them some education for these refugee childrens. Sadk decide to start a school and asked friends and others to volunteer as teachers. One goal is to help students be independent in their new country and studies now includes the Malay language. 13-year-old Muhammad Yaser is one of the students. He was just two years old when his family fled to Bangladesh. In 2017, the conflict in Myammar caused 700,000 more people to flood into Bangladesh. living conditions at the refugee camps deteriorated. Last year, Muhammad and his family moved to Malaysia. When he first entered the school, he was very quiet. I want to be but he gradually started to speak about his hopes for the future and I want to be a teacher. My mother and my mom say they also good. Once they can get proper education, good education, definitely they can make a change of their lifestyle, life and society. That is my expectation hope for our children. Sexerts seeing the children enjoy their studies and grow is what motivates him to continue the school. He bows to keep taking care of them until peace returns to Myammer NK World.
