It means Modi is begging everywhere asking for help. He had all these weeks to look for trade deals, did he expect Trump to drop the tariff and save his skin ? Any normal leader would have visited varies countries and organise a deal before the tariff took effect. When the tariff was announced against China, Xi went around the ASEAN countries personally. He didn't send his deputy, he put himself forward. Modi sent his MEA….thinking he is too important. Now he has to go personally…begging. He could have saved himself some face but his ego didn't allow it.
