Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to Japan for the 15th annual summit. In Tokyo, he held bilateral talks with his Japanese counterpart, PM Ishiba, and addressed the India-Japan Economic Forum. A key highlight of his speech was the message to Japanese investors to “Kam make in India make for the world.” The visit also focused on historic cultural ties, with the Prime Minister receiving a Daruma doll, a gift inspired by the Indian monk Bodhidharma from Kanchipuram. This cultural exchange underscores the deep-rooted connections between the two nations. The Prime Minister’s visit, which comes amid global trade friction, aims to strengthen the Indo-Japan partnership through defense, cultural, and economic discussions, with reports of over $40 billion invested by Japanese companies in India.
