Riding the Fastest UNDERWATER Bullet TRAIN đŸ‡ŻđŸ‡” S8 EP 96 | Hokkaido To Tokyo | Pakistan to Japan Tour

If you look at Google Maps, it shows my location. I am here right now. It has just been announced that we are inside the tunnel. Assalamualaikum everyone and welcome back to the channel from Hakodate, Hokkaido, north of Japan. Where I not only enjoyed the famous sakura of Japan and Hokkaido, but also enjoyed the cold of Hokkaido. It’s around 7 or 8 degrees here. The cold breeze is blowing and it has been raining since morning. But I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. And I really liked this place. Especially sakura. Because sakura comes here in the late season. So I didn’t have many options. It might be more beautiful in other regions of Japan. I haven’t seen them. So I really liked this place. And I highly recommend you to visit this place if you are coming here. But today, I will leave Hokkaido behind. And I will head towards the mainland of Japan. I will board the fast train, Shinkansen. This is where the unique track of Shinkansen starts. It connects Hokkaido to the mainland of Japan through the sea. The tunnel is 23 km through the sea. And the total length is about 54 km. It’s gonna be a unique experience. Let’s leave. I have to pick up my luggage from the hotel. And then I will head towards the train station. I rushed to the train station because I was about to miss my train. I was told that there is a train in 3 minutes. Otherwise, you will get the next one after an hour. So I rushed to the train station. I am going to their new train station. It’s called Shin Hakodate. All the new train stations have the word Shin. Shin means new. And Shinkansen does not come to the old train stations. Because the tracks of the new fast trains may not be feasible with the old trains. That’s why they built a new station. Shin means new. And Kansan means main line. It’s a 20 minute local train journey from here. Let’s enjoy the journey and reach Shin Hakodate. Let’s go. I think this is not my Shinkansen. It is departing at 32. My train is supposed to depart at 39. No. 32 is actually the time. So this is my Shinkansen. I had a misunderstanding. This is my ticket. Car number 2. And seat number is 14D. It is written in front that the entrance of car number 1 to 3 is from here. So let’s enter. And it’s name is Hayabusa. Fast train. I entered one earlier. This is number 3. Mine is next to it. There are 3 seats on one side. And 2 on the other side. It feels like you are on a plane. This is my seat. As you can see, there is a lot of leg space. You can comfortably enjoy your journey here. They have provided electricity ports here. You can charge your phone or laptop here. There is a cup holder. You can keep something here. And a tray. It feels like you are traveling on an airplane with premium economy. This train also has its first class. And it also has a rail pass. But it was $200 more expensive than the one I have. I have a 14 day rail pass. I can travel unlimitedly in Japan for 14 days. In economy class. If you want to take the first class, I got it for $600. That was around $850. But if I had taken one ticket, from Hokkaido to Tokyo, it would have been a total of 4.5 hours of travel. And the ticket I am getting is around 25,000 Yen. You can say that it is almost $200. If you travel three times in a train, JR pass will be worth it. So, it is worth it if you want to travel in Japan for 1-2 weeks. A week pass is around $350. A two week pass is around $550-600. You can physically ship it to your country. You can get it shipped to your country. And then you can exchange it here. Right now, it is 1:49 pm. And the train has departed at 1:49 pm. Exactly on time. They are too good. If you look at the Google map, it shows my location. Right now, I am here. It is a total distance of 4 hours and 25 minutes. But if you go by road, it shows a distance of around 13 hours. And how many kilometers is it? It shows 870 kilometers approximately. It will take you 13 hours to cover 870 kilometers by road. And 4.5 hours by train. And this portion is Hokkaido. It will connect to the underground tunnel. When we reach the tunnel, I will let you know. This is the main island of Japan. And this is Hokkaido. People are eating. I made a mistake. I boarded the train early. I didn’t bring anything to eat. It’s a 4.5 hour long journey. Hopefully, I will find something on the way. I will take a round in the train. Maybe, I find something to eat. I will check the Google map. It shows the stops. For how much time it stops. And can I go outside or not? Most likely, I cannot go outside. But still… It is announced that we are inside the tunnel. As I mentioned earlier, this tunnel is 23 kilometers long. And the depth is around 240 meters. Right now, we are inside the sea. We are traveling inside the sea by train. Actually, we won’t be able to see much from outside. Because it is dark inside the tunnel. So, I cannot capture that. It would have been easier for you to observe. Also, there are sound barriers on the sides of the train. So, you don’t get to see much scenery. They are made so that the people living nearby don’t get disturbed. Since I have boarded the Shinkansen, let’s have a tour. It’s a very simple train. One interesting thing is that it’s the fastest train in Japan. And it travels at a maximum speed of 320 kilometers. There are other Shinkansen trains as well. But their speed is not as fast as this one. So, this is the fastest train in Japan. Right now, I am standing in the corridor. That’s why it’s noisy. Because people were sleeping there. So, I thought to have a tour. This train is almost empty. When I got the ticket, they told me that window seat is not available. The train is full. It is possible that people will take the next stop. But so far, I feel that 90% of the train is empty. There are beautiful toilets here. Look at this. The washbasin is so lush and shiny. There is a beautiful mirror in front of me. You can see me in the mirror. Let’s go this way. Let’s open this. Is it closed or open? I pressed the button. Wow! The washroom is so spacious. There is a simple toilet here. There is no Japanese toilet here. There is a place to wash your hands. It is very good. Look at the size of this toilet. It might be for the disabled. Let me see the sign. Let’s close this. Yes, it’s for everyone. Let’s check this page. What is this? Okay. I am not sure what this is. To be honest, there is a place to sit. But I don’t know for whom it is. Let’s close this too. There is a washroom on this side. Yes, there is a washroom. Let’s check. They have made a washroom with almost every bogie. The cleanliness is next level. This is business class. The seats are better. It is luxurious. The economy class too is not that bad. But it’s better than the economy class. There was grand class here. It was amazing. When I entered, I was confused about where I am. I didn’t know about it. I thought here are only business and economy classes. But here is a superior class as well. It was luxurious. I think we are about to reach Aomori. This is my first stop after an hour. I thought I wouldn’t get anything to eat here. But I did get something to eat. Look at this. I got a cup of coffee with it. I will have a light meal. There is no restaurant here. You don’t get hot meals or sushi here. There is no vending machine here. The local trains have a vending machine. You can get something to drink from there. I think there is a stop ahead called Suntayi. I will have a round there. Then will board another train to Tokyo. This is the app I installed. It shows that our speed is more than 300 kmph. It is recording the entire journey. It has reached the speed of 368 kmph. Let’s see. When our journey ends, what will be its maximum and top speed. It’s a very comfortable journey. It’s between 300 and 320 kmph. I have reached Suntayi. Our journey from Suntay to Tokyo took 1.5 to 1.45 hours. I thought that I have time. I am not in a hurry to reach Tokyo. Let’s stop here. I can get a ticket from JR Pass. I will get a ticket from here. The good thing about the train station is that there are locker rooms everywhere. You can keep your luggage there. The good thing is that if you are going to the city or if you are waiting for a long time at the train station and you don’t want to carry your luggage with you, it’s best to keep your luggage in the locker room. Then I will roam around for the remaining time I have. I am going to the Family Mart. Otherwise, I don’t think I will get to eat something from here. In Family Mart or 7-11, you can get some sandwiches. The sandwiches are kept here. I think this is egg and tuna. I will get these two. I already had two cups of coffee. This Tea Latte seems interesting. Let’s try this. 700 something That means I spent around 4 to 5 dollars. Since I might not find a dustbin later, I will eat in front of the Family Mart and discard all the garbage. It’s a very easy system. I paid 400 yen here. That is around 2.5 to 3 dollars. Look at the time on the board. It is 6:20 pm. The train has reached here. Everyone will get in the train shortly. It will depart at 22. I have finally reached Tokyo Station. There is no need to tell you that I have reached here exactly on time. Because all the trains that I have boarded were always on time. Assalam Alekum. How are you? Thank God, should I remember you? Yes please. It’s my first meeting with you. How are you? I am fine. I posted a story on Instagram a while ago when I was in Suntayi. Ansa came here after seeing it. We met him. Maybe some other Pakistanis come here too. A lot of people were messaging me. I said I am coming. If you are here, we will meet. So here we have Ansa. And his wife Ria. Ria? You have been here for 10 years. Yes, 10 years. We have been married for 2 years. And you got married in Pakistan. So I hope you like Pakistan. Yes, indeed. I really enjoyed. Twice. We went to Lahore this year. What do you like most about Pakistan? Food. Do you like spicy food? Yes. And he cooks a lot in Japan. Now we have Sushi here. My first Sushi of this tour. Let’s try our Sushi. It’s awkward when there are people and you have to record a video. No, you proceed. So we have different fish here. I think this is Tuna. Yes, this is Tuna. And which sauce is this? This is soy sauce. Usually, they are different in every restaurant. But you dip the fish into the sauce. No, it doesn’t matter. How is it? It’s very nice. Actually, this restaurant is a branch of the biggest fish market in Tokyo. It’s called Tsukiji. So if you ever come to Tokyo, there is this fresh market where they get the fish from. So when it comes out of the sea, it comes fresh over there. And then the Sushi places, they go there everyday to get fresh fish. That same market sells fish in the US directly. They put it on the flight and it will go to the US and they will serve it in the US Sushi restaurant. So basically, they get the fish from there. So basically, you will get the world’s best sushi here. Probably. As cheap as fresh. So I think the fish we are eating is fresh. And when it’s over, they will bring a new one tomorrow. As Sushi has raw fish, the quality of fish matters a lot. So, it’s fresh fish. I won’t eat too much. Last time when I came here in 2016, I ate a lot of fish. But this time, I will try to eat less sushi. It’s raining cats and dogs in Tokyo. And I have just left the station. Thank you very much to Ansa and his wife. This was my first sushi tour. But I think in this tour, I will have to eat sushi and seafood because it’s difficult to get Halal food in many places. Anyway, it was a good day. I hope you liked my vlog. Japanese trains are incomparable. Especially punctuality. It was good in China as well. It used to reach on time. China’s infrastructure is very recent and new. Japan’s infrastructure is going on for years. I try to record videos about local transportation and other things of every country I visit. So that you can have an idea about life here. There are many restrictions when I travel by motorcycle. But until I have a motorcycle, I will explore many more things. Now I will take your leave. Remember me in your prayers. Don’t forget to like, subscribe and share. Bye.

  4. Although I'm a stickler for comfort. I'll prefer comfort any day and anywhere but I miss your motorcycle journeys in this tour.
Maybe the openness and freedom attract me.
