so still on the subject of tax Japan’s gearing up to give its crypto rules a makeover and the uh the tax breaks could be quite huge so the government’s thinking about cutting taxes on crypto gains from an infamously high 55% to a friendlier 20% Which is more like stocks so for those who don’t know yeah if you you get uh paid in crypto in Japan or or you’re you know trading crypto taxes can be pretty brutal in Japan High uh 55% taxes so then bringing them down to 20 Much More Much More friendly so they’re also looking uh into better investor protection after you know some past crypto chaos things like mgx FTX whatever
