So, with all those threats of tariffs coming from the United States, Ireland and Japan are thinking that it’s best to deepen the relationship with existing partners. Why? Because it makes sense. It’s not all about euro and yen. This is also about cultural relationships which bind Japan with Ireland. Just look at the new Irish embassy. cost €21 million euro and is a fusion styles are both Irish and Japanese. You get the sense here that things are just about to take off. There was a hint of bromance between the Tishuk and the Japanese prime minister today. Mr. Ashiba was playing Enya over lunch and they were drinking a bit of Guinness too. But the Tishuk was talking about two like-minded states deepening their relationship and the Japanese prime minister, he seemed to agree.
Taoiseach Micheál Martin and Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba have held talks in Tokyo to discuss deepening trade links, bilateral relations and cybersecurity.
