Vuoi vivere in Giappone come me? (Guarda questo)

What’s good YouTube? It’s your boy Afrogaikokujin
. And as you can see, we in Shibuya, walking through Shibuya Crossing. Absolutely
crazy pandemic. Crazy, man. You know how it is. But listen, if you clicked on this video,
then you’re probably wondering how you can come to Tokyo. Probably been wanting to come to Japan
your whole life, interested in Japan. Maybe you grew up watching anime. Maybe you grew up playing
video games like me. I don’t know. One of the two, right? or you just like Japanese culture.
But if you’re interested in coming to Japan, then you clicked on the right video. I got you.
Now, listen, man. First things first though, this is what I want to say. If you are interested
in coming to Japan, right? There’s a plethora of different ways to come to Tokyo. Like a plethora.
I mean, not even just Tokyo, Japan in general. Like if you want to come here, um, whatever city
you want to come to, I recommend one of the one of the first things that I recommend is going
online. There’s a plethora of different websites you can do. What do they got? They got uh Gajin
Pot, uh, Hello Sensei, uh, Indeed. Man, there’s so many different ways to come to Japan. Now, I’m
going to be honest. The easiest way though, the easiest way to come to Japan is probably through
like teaching, like being like a teacher, English teacher specifically. Also, recruiting is pretty
big in Japan, too. I know a lot of foreigners that actually get recruiting jobs here in Japan. So,
I would say like that’s the easiest way to pretty much get a visa sponsor and come to Japan. Look at
like teaching jobs or like recruitment jobs. So, those are going to be your best opportunities and
best routes for you to come to Japan. Like I said, Gajin Pot, uh, Hello Sensei, and what’s the other
one called? Indeed. There’s some other there’s some other applications and stuff that you can
uh or websites that you can check out to see how to come to Japan. But like those are probably like
the most common and maybe easiest ones that I know of, right? So, those that’s that’s how you want to
basically come to Japan, right? And I want to give some advice too for people that are interested in
coming to Japan. Listen, first things first, I got to say this. If you like watch anime and you’re a
big fan of video games, man, do not come to Japan thinking it’s going to be like a big anime or a
big video game, bro. It’s not like that. In fact, most of the people that I’ve met in Japan don’t
even watch anime, man. I think it’s one of those things like like maybe like the younger kids
used to watch or the younger kids watch anime or people that used to watch anime when they were
younger but as they become adults and become like you know get jobs and have to work and stuff
like that less people watch anime man like I was I remember having a conversation with one of
the teachers that I used to teach with and I was like yo are you do you watch anime are you a fan
of anime he was like nah I used to watch it when I was a kid but like you know I grew up man you
know So I think that’s the assumption. Now there are parts of Japan where like anime is like a
kind of like a big thing like in Akihabada and of course like I said younger kids they love anime
but like one thing that you realize is just like the older generation and older people don’t really
watch anime man. It’s it’s not it’s not as common as people would think. I know I know you’ve seen
it Tik Toks and you you know what I mean? you like Dragon Ball, you like, you know, uh, Attack on the
Titan, but man, it’s not a big anime, bro. It’s a real place. I I I have to stress that. Um, another
thing that I would say, man, if you really are, you know, check out this donkey right here. Fire.
But if you are thinking about coming to Japan, one of the things that I got to stress to y’all,
I got to stress, my boy, listen, learn Japanese. Like I’m telling you, people don’t understand that
is such a underrated statement. Like really learn, man, it’s windy. I’m gonna go this way. Learn
Japanese, man. You will find yourself in a lot of different predicaments where like myself, if
you don’t learn Japanese and you just come here, you’re going to find your like yourself in
certain predicaments and situations where you are going to wish that you study Japanese. Like
I mean, in terms of like going to the city hall, even eating at restaurants. I mean, restaurants
is a little more easy because you can just point and be like kore. But if you’re like getting more
in depth, like business stuff and banking stuff, you’re going to want to learn Japanese, man.
Like even myself, man, I still struggle with like certain things in Japanese, but like you
know, baby steps, man. You got to walk before you, you know, you can before you run. You know what
I mean? Or you got to crawl before you can walk. That’s a better better statement, better analogy.
So definitely um learn some Japanese before you come here. Um yeah, and then like I would say too
like if you’re really thinking about coming to Japan, and this is like my best piece of advice,
really figure out what it is that makes you like want to come to Japan. Like why are you interested
in coming to Japan? Like what is it about Japan that draws you to Japan? You know, I know a lot of
people are, of course, there we go again, otaku, anime, anime fanatics, gaming fanatics, you know,
and that’s a good reason to come to Japan. But I think like if you’re coming from a western country
like myself, like America, you you figure out quickly that that stuff kind of like wears off.
like the the hype surrounding that wears off and it’s not uh it’s it’s not as uh glamorous as you
may think it is. You know, I was thinking like, oh, Japan is is going to be like like just because
I love games and I love I loved anime as a kid, like I’m thinking like Japan is going to be like
the perfect place, but like when you come here, you kind of get like a reality check. Like it’s
not fully just surrounded by that. Of course, it is the pop culture here, but it’s not just
solely based on anime, bro. Like, as I said, a lot of people that I’ve met here in Japan, don’t
even watch anime. Like, I haven’t I don’t really I have not have a conversation with a person that’s
been like, “Oh, yeah, I like anime man. I watch this and I watch.” It’s not It’s not as common
as you may think it is, man. Like, of course, like with my students, they like anime, but of
course, again, those are kids. So, I don’t know. I think just like find your purpose. find out
like why you really want to come to Japan. Um, I can make another video going more in depth in like
ways to actually come here and how to get here and the process and stuff, but as I said before, like
those that’s probably like the easiest way to get a uh visa sponsored by a company. You know, one
thing too is like once you actually get to Japan, it’s a lot easier to find jobs here once you live
here. Because some companies that I that I some companies that are in Japan, I actually realized
they won’t actually hire you or sponsor you unless you actually live here because they a lot of
companies don’t want to put that effort into, you know, like sponsoring your visa, doing all the
steps to get you here, and then the last minute, you know, you back out or you don’t come, you
know, like if you’re already here, it’s a lot it’s a lot easier of a process for for companies
that don’t got to waste money and waste time. So, that’s the thing. If you want to like get your
foot in the door, I recommend coming here like on like like teaching, there’s a lot of companies.
Be careful. There’s some janky shady companies, but teaching is the best way to get your foot
in the door. Once you get here, then if you want to transition to like a better company or
if you want to get a different job, you know, you can explore the options because like I said,
it’s a lot easier to look for uh a different job or a better job once you actually live in Japan.
But that’s what I would say the best ways and the easiest ways to look about coming is uh Gajun
Pot, Hello Talk, no Hello Talk, Hello Sensei, um and Indeed, man. There’s probably other
other uh routes and avenues to look at like jobs and employment. But I think for myself
and from people that I know, those are like the best ways. And then also once you start
networking here, you can figure out, you know, like uh different avenues and meet people that can
actually put you on and probably get you a job. It’s all about who you know in life. Everything
is about who you know. It’s not what you know, it’s who you know. And there’s other like uh
applications too. If you use like a app like uh Hello Talk, pardon me, Hello Talk, um that’s like
a language exchange app. So, you might be able to meet people on there just like doing language
exchange that could possibly help you get a job, man. So, explore those options, man. That’s what
I’m here for, man. I’m here to share information and let y’all know what y’all need to know.
Especially like if you’re interested in coming to Japan like me, you know, I was interested my whole
life, not necessarily living here, but just coming to see what it’s like. But you never know how you
never know like how life is going to go, man. So, um, Gajin Pot, hello Sensei, Indeed, Hello Talk,
maybe get a connection that can plug you in with a job here, too, man. It’s your boy your guy
Afrogaikokujin live in Shibuya walking out, man. It’s still summer time. It’s You see
your boy sweat down here. It’s hot. But yeah, man. Let me know what y’all want me to talk about
next, man. I’ll see you on the next video. Peace.

Have you ever wanted to live and work in Japan? If the answer is yes, I’ll tell you how to do so.
