With James Gunn’s Superman in Theatres & Streaming on VOD + the recent updates regarding Man of Tomorrow, Lanterns, Supergirl, & More, Andrew & Tara CONTINUE toward the inevitable conclusion of their DCEU Marathon giving their The Flash Reaction, Recap, Commentary, Analysis, & Spoiler Review!

Andrew Gordon & Tara Erickson react to The Flash (2023), the DCEU’s highly anticipated sci-fi action blockbuster directed by Andy Muschietti (It, Mama). Ezra Miller (Fantastic Beasts, Perks of Being a Wallflower) stars as Barry Allen aka The Flash, who uses his speed to travel back in time to prevent his mother’s murder—only to unravel the multiverse and trigger dangerous consequences.
The film features Michael Keaton (Batman 1989, Birdman) returning as Bruce Wayne / Batman in an iconic comeback, alongside Ben Affleck (Justice League, Argo) reprising his version of the Dark Knight. Sasha Calle (The Young and the Restless) makes her debut as Kara Zor-El / Supergirl, bringing fresh energy to the Superman legacy. Michael Shannon (Man of Steel, Take Shelter) returns as General Zod in a fierce showdown, joined by Antje Traue (Man of Steel) as Faora-Ul. Kiersey Clemons (Dope, Zack Snyder’s Justice League) plays Iris West, Barry’s love interest, while Maribel Verdú (Y Tu Mamá También) portrays Nora Allen, and Ron Livingston (Office Space) takes on the role of Henry Allen.
Standout and highly searched moments include The Flash’s multiverse collisions, Michael Keaton’s return with the legendary line “I’m Batman,” the epic Supergirl vs. Zod battles, emotional family reunions between Barry and his parents, and shocking multiverse cameos that thrilled DC fans. Combining time travel, heart, and jaw-dropping superhero spectacle, The Flash stands as both a tribute to the DCEU and a love letter to DC history.

  1. I’d assume they just have Aquaman 2 and blue beetle left too right?

If you guys haven’t seen it, reactions to peacemaker and creature commandos would be dope

  2. Andrew's side references are exactly what I look forward to from a Reel Rejects reaction video, THANK YOU! I haven't seen this film since I saw it in the theater and I enjoyed today more with time as a buffer… I was looking forward to seeing the film for the promised featuring of George Reeves and was VERY disappointed by the inferior lifeless CGI… I think if they had cut the film time and the amount of heavy exaggerated CGI action I would enjoyed this film more… Then again, it's so easy for all of us to play Monday morning quarterback. All in all, this film WAS fun and touching… If we pretend to say what would have been better then we haven't learned the lesson of the film… "Just let go… and enjoy the film"… 😊❤

  3. The movie still doesn't answer the question as to who actually killed Barry's mom either it's reverse flash or someone else I don't know , which is why I didn't feel anything for this movie other than seeing Michael Keaton Batman die.

  4. This movie overall is good. The true problem is the TERRIBLE ending! That’s the biggest problem. Almost all of this movie is pretty amazing with a few prominent problems sprinkled throughout, but the ending was VERY bad.

  5. Well, we already know that Michael Keaton’s Batman in this movie is not the Batman from the Tim Burton movies. It was already confirmed. It’s not a fully different universe. It’s a different timeline that Barry created.

  6. Michael Keaton was originally supposed to be the Bruce Wayne at the end of the film, and was actually filmed, which would have led into Batgirl, where Keaton would appear as Batman.

Keaton was contracted to be the new DCEU Batman going forward, but the Batgirl film, although completely filmed and ready for release, was canned by WB after they got cold feet about their new direction.

That's why we got Clooney instead of Keaton at the end. Doesn't make a whole ton of sense, but I think of the film taking place in 3 main different universes.

    Universe 1: Snyder adjacent
    Universe 2: Burton adjacent
    Universe 3: Schumacher adjacent

Also, Supergirl was supposed to continue, being that Henry Cavill was essentially fired from the Superman role at the time, and would eventually team up with Batgirl and Keaton's Batman in a new Justice League film, but they killed her off for the same reason they killed Keaton's Batman off in the film – the Batgirl film was cancelled.

It was kind of a big mess, due to WB studio interference.

    But there ya have it!

  7. Kudos to you Andrew for being able to keep it together.
When my father died I couldn't handle anything involving death. I want to watch it play in the fields of the Lord with friends and had to leave in the middle of the movie.
I went back to see the rest of it later, and if you haven't seen it you should.

  8. I do feel they shouldn’t have done such a big story like Flashpoint for the first movie. They should have focused a smaller more contained story and build up to flashpoint in the 3rd movie. After introducing many of the needed characters like the reverse flash

  9. A surprising fact about The Flash (2023) is that Michael Keaton returned as Batman after more than 30 years, making it one of the most nostalgic superhero comebacks in cinema history. 🦇⚡

If you enjoy discovering movie budgets, box office results, and actor salaries, my channel dives deep into the business side of Hollywood. 🎬💰

  10. It was a fun movie, the best parts were when Batman was on screen. Hope Andy Muschietti does a good job directing Brave and the Bold. CGI was horrendous, especially the CGI babies

  11. Awesome show guys 💯 Andrew loosen the Hell up my guy🙄have fun with your coworkers while doing reactions and stop worrying about being Captain Right KnowItAll bud while narrating everything between the lines of each scene like your subscribers aren't quick enough to get it. Trust, we got it Pal 💯 Tara like that jacket 😎 Keep up the wonderful work Rejects 👏👏👏
