How much I spent to fly to Tokyo
Here’s how much I spend in a day in Tokyo. My round trip from NYC was about $200 out of pocket. Just taxes and fees. Points cover the seat. Once I land, it’s airplane mode off, eim on. For data, I use Yesim’s monthly global eim pack. And for Black Friday, it’s 20% off with my code Steven 20, which works out to about $2 a day for me. For breakfast, I grabbed an egg sandal and a drink for $450 yen. Lunch was cheap sushi set from the supermarket for about 650 yen. Dinner was ramen for 1,000 yen. Trains were around 900 yen. And I donated 300 yen to a claw machine for character development. So in total, that’s around 3,300 yen. Around 20 to $22 for the day, not counting hotel because that was on points, too. Could you do Tokyo on this budget?
