The new Japanese PM affirmed in parliament that Japan will participate directly to defend Taiwan if Mainland China initiated military actions to prevent Taiwan from being separated from China. This is an inteferance into China's internal affairs as Taiwan island is a province of China, not Japan's territory. It also breached all accords signed when Japan, being a defeated country in WW2, is prohibited to mobilise its defend army to engage hostility against other sovereign states. It also drags the US in direct confrontation with China, and both are nuclear powered.
